Jessica Biel makes rare public appearance with son Silas amid Justin Timberlake’s DWI controversy
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Despite the continuing DWI issue involving Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel lived up to her reputation as a super mom on Thursday, August 29, by taking her oldest son, Silas, to an incredible day at the US Open.
The '7th Heaven' alum and her nine-year-old son showed up at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York, on Thursday, for the fourth day of the US Open Tennis Championship.
According to Newsweek, the two were seen entering Arthur Ashe Stadium to watch Naomi Osaka and Karolína Muchova compete.

In the photos, the mother-son duo could be seen strolling around the venue hand in hand and watching the tennis event from the stands.
The 42-year-old mother of two looked stylish in a cream-colored Ralph Lauren pantsuit, a white silk crop top, cream shoes, and an eye-catching tennis-themed necklace.
The nine-year-old looked smart in khaki slacks, blue Adidas sneakers, and a Ralph Lauren polo with green and blue stripes, according to People.
Biel has frequently visited the US Open, but this was her first time attending with Silas. Biel and her husband, Justin Timberlake, have a 4-year-old son named Phineas.
In the past, she has refrained from taking her kids to such events, stating on Kelly Ripa's 'Let's Talk Off Camera' podcast, "No disrespect to anyone who feels comfortable doing that, that's just our family choice. Maybe it's a mistake. I don't know."
Before the release of her children's book, 'A Kids Book About Periods,' Biel participated in a People Kids Interview in May, where she shared her favorite aspect of being a mother to Silas and Phineas.
During her guest appearance on SiriusXM's 'Let's Talk Off Camera' with Ripa that same month, Biel revealed that she had already begun talking to Silas about puberty.
Biel mentioned that she and Timberlake have noticed a slight change in Silas’s appearance, noting that he has grown from a baby into nearly a preteen.
"He's just growing. It's so amazing, so we talk a lot about that. We're talking deodorant. We're talking about hormones... and so we're into it and we're on the precipice of all the big conversations I think," Biel at the time.
The mother-son's latest appearance came after reports that the New York hotel where Timberlake stayed before his DWI arrest is preparing to provide key evidence for the investigation.
The 'Mirrors' singer was pulled over on June 18 in the Hamptons after police saw him driving his BMW after midnight, evading, and failing to stay in his lane.
Refusing to submit to a breathalyzer test, Timberlake said he had only "one martini" and had gone home with friends.
According to prior public statements made by his lawyer Edward Burke Jr, the pop star was not drunk when he was arrested, per Daily Mail.
