Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake were undergoing marriage therapy before his DWI arrest, sources claim

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have had marriage therapy sessions prior to his drunk driving and DWI arrest at Sag Harbor in the Hamptons last month. 

Sources close to the couple recently shared that the couple had faced marriage problems prior to his arrest and had to undergo therapy - three rounds of therapy in the last five years to be more precise.

However, the sources feel that the recent arrest was just another blow to their marriage following a tumultuous history of cheating scandals, with Biel allegedly thinking “they’re right back where they started,” despite the therapies.

Following the ‘Sexy Back’ singer’s DWI arrest, the couple’s marriage momentarily came under scrutiny after Biel was seen without her ring on the sets of her Amazon Prime Video series ‘The Better Sister’. 

The rumor of discord in their marriage was, however, put to rest when the actress was seen supporting her husband at his Madison Square Garden gig later in June. 

Nevertheless, as per the friends of Biel, it is not yet completely sunny in their relationship. 

A source close to the ‘Total Recall’ star recently portrayed a dismal image of their marriage to RadarOnline.

"Her friends think she’s married to a loser and hate that so much of her life is taken up with trying to get Justin to stay on the straight and narrow," said the source while referring to his past cheating rumors. 

They added, "But the arrest was a wake-up call: It’s time for her to realize she can’t do it alone. If he keeps going down this path, their marriage will be over.”

This is not the first time when Biel has been subjected to shame on her husband’s behalf. Previously, in 2019, Timberlake was embroiled in a cheating scandal when he was seen cozying up to his ‘Palmer’ co-star Alisha Wainwright. 

The singer later issued a public apology saying “nothing happened” between them while admitting it was a "strong lapse in judgment” on his part.

Following Juston Timberlake's DWI arrest, it was said that his wife was left "disappointed" with the Grammy-winning singer, but has his back.

A source shared with Daily Mail, “Jessica is disappointed but he is her husband so she is by his side and will have his back through all of it," before adding, “She would like Justin to curb his drinking, so he never gets into a situation like this ever again. She is treating it like a slap on the wrist and is hoping that it doesn't lead to anything more severe in the future.”

The insider further added that on the few days after the accident the couple just communicated via FaceTime, explaining, “Jessica and Justin have talked over FaceTime and have texted but with her work schedule and his upcoming tour dates, they haven't physically gotten together to talk about it, but she has his back."

“They will get together soon once she has time off from filming as she intends to support him on a couple of future shows," said the source. 

As the source predicted, she went to support Timberlake in his Forget Tomorrow World tour concert in New York last week.
