WAHINGTON, DC: Reports indicate a "simmering discontent" among Biden administration officials who feel the president's inner circle is "shielding him" from the public.

Michael LaRosa, the former press secretary for First Lady Jill Biden, has openly voiced his frustration with this approach by President Joe Biden's campaign team.

Michael LaRosa claims Joe Biden's public interactions are choreographed

"Everything looks and feels so choreographed, scripted, and controlled that it doesn’t afford him the opportunities to show off his strengths — humor, empathy, and compassion," LaRosa told the New York Times.

"Relatability is his superpower, but you can only relate to someone when their humanity is exposed. That means flaws, mistakes, and everything else that comes with imperfection," he added.

"Those who have known him over the years said he remains at heart the same person… But many, including some on his own team, assume the limits on his public interactions are meant to protect him from age-related mistakes," the Times wrote on Wednesday, June 26.

It further added, "There has been simmering discontent within his administration among those who think the president’s inner circle goes too far in shielding him from public exposure."

Report highlights Joe Biden's occasional confusion as well as his recent gaffes

The report was predominantly commendatory, stating that he had "upended expectations, resulting in a raft of landmark liberal programs that will mark Mr. Biden in the history books as one of the most prolific legislative masters since Lyndon B Johnson."

The source added that he did not delve into "unreality" as his 2024 opponent, former president Donald Trump, did.

The report also described the issue of age as a "radioactive nuclear rod in the Biden presidency," which remains untouched despite the peril of neglecting it.

"That flows from the top," it reported.

"Defensive and testy, Mr Biden deeply resents discussion of his age, and his closest aides have taken their cue from him. Rather than acknowledge the obvious issues while still highlighting the advantages of a seasoned president, some advisers argue that he has not slipped at all," the source continued.

The report added that President Biden's "shuffling walk, low voice, and occasional confusion are hard to deny," and listed some of his recent gaffes.

Rep James Clyburn of South Carolina acknowledges Joe Biden's more reserved style

However, the report emphasized that Republicans "exaggerate and distort them," and noted that former president Donald Trump also has mental lapses.

Additionally, the report recognized that President Biden has conducted "fewer news conferences and granted fewer interviews than any president in decades."

"In private, Mr Biden prepares for public appearances in advance with long meetings, turning a one-hour session into two hours, sometimes punctuated by meandering stories about long-dead senators," the Times wrote.

One of Biden's key supporters, Representative James Clyburn of South Carolina, acknowledged to the news outlet that Biden has become somewhat more reserved as President compared to his time as a senator, but he asserts that this change is not due to age.

"I think Joe Biden made some calculations some time back and changed his style a bit," Clyburn said.

Jay Carney, who served as Biden's communications director during the Obama administration, also acknowledged the change, as reported by The Times, "The biggest change has been his caution and precision about staying on script and sticking to the points he wants to make," he said.

Internet calls President Joe Biden a 'puppet'

As soon as the report surfaced on the internet, social media users brutally slammed President Joe Biden and called him a "puppet".

One social media user wrote, "FYI- Joe is just a meat puppet and the Country is really being run by unelected Jill and company!!!"

Another asked, "Does this person think she’s telling us a secret??? We have eyes & ears … we’ve been watching & we KNOW the puppet is under strict control of his handlers …"

One person wrote, ""Dr" Jill can't bear the thought of not having all the perks for 4 more years, so of course it's scripted. It's like a really bad sitcom with over the hill, D list actors who are desperate to have their show renewed."

"Duh....they know what happens when the vegetable goes off script," another said.
