Jill Jacobson, 'Falcon Crest' and 'Star Trek' star, dies at 70, fans remember her as 'sweet human being'
CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA: Tributes pour in for Jill Jacobson, known for her works in ‘Falcon Crest’ and ‘Star Trek’ shows, after she died on December 8.
Her friend Dan Harary confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter, sharing that she died at Cedars-Sinai’s Culver West Health Center after battling a long illness.
As per the publication, Jacobson was 70 and had played the role of a detective named Erin Jones in 22 episodes of ‘Falcon Crest’ from 1985 to 1987. She was also seen in ‘The New Gidget’ as Larue Wilson from 1986 to 1987.
She also starred in 1989’s ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ and ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’ released in 1996.

Following her death, Jill Jacobson's family has remembered her as "beautiful, energetic, and positive to the end."
The statement added that “she will be deeply missed by numerous relatives, friends, and her beloved dogs Benny and Kowalski.”
A statement was also issued by her manager Ben Padula who called her “a total spitfire of an actress," according to Forbes.
Padula noted, “We are incredibly sad to say goodbye to our beautiful, soulful, hysterically funny, elegantly raunchy client, Jill Jacobson.”
“Jill took us on so many adventures and she was an absolute blast. Thank you, Jill. We’ll see you in our dreams,” the manager stated.
Jacobson’s ‘The New Gidget’ co-star Caryn Richman also paid tribute to her.“Jill’s comic timing was brilliant. And her enthusiasm and love of life made our time together on set joyful,” Richman said.
Jill Jacobson's battle with esophageal cancer
Jill Jacobson, who was a spokesperson for the American Cancer Society, appeared on an episode of the ‘Jim Masters Show’ in September, as per People.
Speaking about her battle with esophageal cancer, Jacobson said at the time that it “kind of took me out of the game for a while.”
“What I went through was pretty intense. You can’t function, you just can’t function. And now I’m so grateful, I just want to keep going, I want to help people. It makes you want to help people,” Jacobson added.

Meanwhile, Jill Jacobson's paid heartfelt tribute to her, with one on X tweeting, “May she Rest in Peace.”
