LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Late-night television host Jimmy Fallon took a comedic jab at the Trump family's latest political move - former President Donald Trump endorsing daughter-in-law Lara Trump for the position of co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC).

In a humorous monologue, Fallon quipped about the potentially awkward family dynamics and the reasoning behind the endorsement.

Fallon's comic critique: Trump's unusual choice for RNC co-chair sparks hilarious commentary

Fallon kicked off the segment by addressing the unusual endorsement, suggesting that Trump turned to his son, Eric Trump, in search of a "smart family member" for the role and ended up choosing Eric's wife. The comedian couldn't resist poking fun at the family hierarchy, miming a phone call by Trump to Eric, "Put your wife on the phone. Not you, put your wife on the phone."

The humor escalated when Fallon highlighted the irony of entrusting the future of the Republican Party to someone who married Eric Trump.

The audience erupted in laughter as Fallon delivered the punchline, emphasizing the questionable judgment in relying on someone connected to the Trump scion known for his controversial statements and actions.

Fallon's wit unleashed

Fallon continued to lampoon the decision, suggesting that Lara Trump became the chosen one after Ivanka Trump declined the opportunity. With a witty grin, Fallon quipped, "Trump was like, 'Ivanka said, "No".'"

The monologue didn't stop there, as Fallon seamlessly transitioned to a different topic – the Super Bowl ratings. Drawing parallels to the historic moon landing, Fallon compared the highly-watched Super Bowl to the iconic moment in history.

The comedian humorously alluded to the conspiracy theories surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's halftime show kiss, playfully suggesting that just like the moon landing, some skeptics might believe it was staged.
