LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jimmy Kimmel once again mocked Donald Trump during the latest episode of his late-night talk show, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

During his opening monologue, the television personality addressed Trump’s Gold Card or the “Get into America Express Card,” as Kimmel called it.

Jimmy Kimmel says getting Trump Gold Card is easier than renting a car

During the opening monologue of his show, Jimmy Kimmel talked about the newly launched Trump Gold Card. This proposed investor visa could help applicants apply for residency and citizenship faster.

Kimmel said that for $1 million, people can get “legal visitor status, a pathway to citizenship, and a presidential pardon for one major crime of your choosing.”

The ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ host joked that it might be time to “update that inscription” on the Statue of Liberty.

“Never mind, you’re poor and tired. Give us a million bucks. You’re in,” he added.

Kimmel told the audience that they would think that the application for the Trump Gold Coin would be thorough, but stated that it was only a page long. He joked that people had to provide more information to rent a Toyota Camry.

Kimmel criticized Donald Trump, noting that the president believed that American citizenship was something he could sell.

“Like a condo, or a steak, or Eric when he was a baby,” he added.

Jimmy Kimmel calls Trump Gold Card Howard Lutnick’s ‘pet project’

He added that the Trump Gold Card was Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick’s “pet project” and played a clip of Lutnick's recent ‘Fox and Friends’ appearance. The clip showed Lutnick claiming that the process could see the most rigorous vetting that had ever been done for “new people” entering America.

“This is a $15,000 vetting to make sure we have absolutely the best people,” he added.

The Secretary of Commerce added that the applicants would “gift” the United States $1 million instead of coming in for free.

Referring to Lutnick's remarks, Kimmel said that the best people coming in were “rich people” and jokingly referred to a verse from the Bible. The talk show host said that Jesus said that it was “easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle if you pay the needle a million dollars.”

He further joked that it was time that the American immigrant system operated like a “rewards program” like one of “Trump’s bankrupted casinos.”
