MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Jimmy Kimmel spotlighted his contentious relationship with former President Donald Trump in a fundraising appeal for President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party, proudly mentioning that he hosts a show Trump "hate-watches."

Fox News previously reported that in June, comedian and late-night host Kimmel will moderate a discussion with Biden and former President Barack Obama as part of a fundraising effort aimed at defeating Trump.

Kimmel rallies support for Biden fundraiser

"Hi, it’s Jimmy Kimmel," the ABC late-night host reportedly introduced himself in a June 6 email from the Biden Victory Fund.

"I host a 'poorly rated' TV show that Donald Trump hate-watches," Kimmel remarked, before urging supporters to enter for a chance to win a trip to an upcoming Biden campaign fundraiser in Los Angeles.

The event will feature Kimmel alongside George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

“Trump will hate this, so let’s do it!” the email signed by Kimmel said.

“Our democracy may not survive another four years of a Trump presidency,” the comedian added. “As our President might say, ‘That’s no joke, man.'”

The comedian is known for his frequent jabs at Donald Trump on his show, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' Their feud has been ongoing, with Trump branding Kimmel as "dumb" and criticizing his TV ratings as "terrible."

In March, Kimmel fired back at Trump during a live Academy Awards broadcast, responding to a social media post where Trump had slammed his performance as host of the event.

Kimmel's now-famous Oscars jab at Trump

Jimmy Kimmel, who hosted the Oscars in 2024, responded to former President Donald Trump's social media critique of his performance during the event.

Just before 'Oppenheimer' won the award for Best Picture at the 96th Academy Awards, Kimmel addressed the audience.

According to a report in The Guardian, he humorously shared a "review" of his hosting duties.

Reading from his phone, Kimmel quoted Trump's post: "Has there ever been a worse host than Jimmy Kimmel at the Oscars? His opening was that of a less than average person trying too hard to be something which he is not, and never can be."

"Get rid of Kimmel and perhaps replace him with another washed up, but cheap, ABC 'talent,' George Slopanopoulos. He would make everybody on stage look bigger, stronger, and more glamorous... blah, blah, blah. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" Kimmel continued. "Now, see if you can guess which former President just posted that on Truth Social. Anyone? No?"

Notably, the original post was shared by Trump on his social media platform during the Oscars ceremony.

He also remarked, "Also a really bad politically correct show tonight, and for years - Disjointed, boring, and very unfair. Why don't they just give the Oscars to those that deserve them? Maybe that way their audience and TV ratings will come back from the depths. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN."

In response, Kimmel thanked Trump for watching the ceremony before quipping, "Isn't it past your jail time?" The now-famous quip was a pointed reference to Trump's various legal troubles, including cases of financial fraud and election interference.

The audience erupted in cheers and laughter at Kimmel's sharp retort.
