JK Rowling mocks Pedro Pascal over claim he ‘shut her down' in trans feud, reveals Boy George blocked her

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: JK Rowling just fired aff another blistering spell at Pedro Pascal.
The 'Harry Potter' author, 59, has hit back at 'The Last of Us' star, 50, after he took another jab at her in a recent interview, reigniting a feud that has been simmering for months.
Earlier this spring, Pascal, whose sibling is transgender, criticized Rowling on Instagram for supporting a UK Supreme Court ruling that upheld women-only spaces. He called her response “awful, disgusting,” and labeled it “heinous loser behaviour.”

Months later, Pascal is still speaking out.
“The one thing I agonized over a little bit was just, ‘Am I helping? Am I fing helping?’” he told Vanity Fair. “It’s a situation that deserves the utmost elegance so that something real can happen, so people are actually protected. Listen, I want to protect the people I love. But it goes beyond that. Bullies make me f**king sick.”
Feud heats up as JK Rowling mocks Pedro Pascal over trans rights clash
Pedro Pascal’s recent comments earned praise from LGBTQ+ outlet Gayety, which claimed the 'Materialists' star had officially “shut down” JK Rowling.
But Rowling was quick to fire back with a sarcastic tweet. “Can’t say I feel very shut down, but keep at it, Pedro. God loves a trier," she snarked.

The spat reignited after Rowling posted a defiant photo of herself on a boat, cigar in hand, with the caption, “I love it when a plan comes together.” According to the Daily Mail, she was celebrating the UK Supreme Court ruling that barred biological men from accessing single-sex spaces such as women’s bathrooms, hospital wards, and changing rooms.

Unsurprisingly, the post didn’t sit well with Pascal, who lashed out on social media—and hasn’t let up since.
The Marvel-bound actor, who’s set to appear in the upcoming 'Fantastic Four' reboot, previously condemned Rowling’s position. “I can't think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist,” he wrote.
Rowling has since become a lightning rod in the ongoing culture wars, frequently clashing with activists and celebrities who might once have been counted among her admirers.
Boy George blocks JK Rowling amid escalating feud
JK Rowling revealed this week that she has been blocked on social media by the "Karma Chameleon" singer Boy George. “But you were getting so much publicity out of me, George. Don’t tell me it backfired?” she quipped, posting a screenshot of the block.

Their public spat began earlier this month after the 63-year-old pop icon accused Rowling of being a “rich, bored bully.” An outspoken supporter of transgender rights, George has made it clear where he stands on the author’s controversial views.
But Rowling wasn’t about to stay silent. She hit back with a pointed reference to the singer’s criminal past: “I’ve never been given 15 months for handcuffing a man to a wall and beating him with a chain,” she wrote, referring to George’s 2009 conviction for the assault and false imprisonment of male escort Auden Carlsen. He served four months in prison.
There are many differences between us, George, but some are particularly relevant to this debate.

In a 2017 interview with Piers Morgan on 'Life Stories,' George owned up to the crime, saying: “I stopped him from leaving my apartment. It’s terrible what I did, and I’m ashamed and sorry. It was wrong.”
Still, George took another swipe this week, mocking Rowling with a 'Harry Potter' reference. He suggested the author was a “Muggle”— a non-magical person in her own fictional universe.
The feud traces back to April, when Rowling clashed with George after he accused her of failing to distinguish between transgender women and biological men.
