LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: JK Rowling seemingly hit back at Emma Watson in a long rant on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, May 3, after apparently being called out over her transphobic views by the latter.

The 'Harry Potter' author has long been vocal about her conservative views on biological sexes, and is often referred to as a TERF (Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist) on social media.

Her opinions has led to being at odds with former 'Harry Potter' actors such as Watson and Daniel Radcliffe, and she has not shied away from demeaning them on social media.

Following the UK Supreme Court ruling last month stating that the legal definition of a woman is based on biological sex, Watson uploaded an Instagram Story quoting author Matt Haig.

"To the person who said they like me best when I am not ranting about politics: I like me best when I am not ignoring fascism," read the post, according to LADbible.

JK Rowling goes on rant against 'backstabbing colleagues' who signed letter backing trans rights

More than 400 British actors and film industry professionals have signed an open letter in solidarity with the trans, non-binary and intersex communities who have been affected by the Supreme Court ruling, reported The Guardian on April 30. The signatories include Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne, who starred in the 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' franchise, also created by Rowling.

In her rant on X, Rowling claimed, "It's possibly worth remembering that nobody sane believes, or has ever believed, that humans can change sex, or that binary sex isn't a material fact."

"I often wonder whether the signatories of such letters have to quieten their consciences before publicly boosting a movement intent on removing women's and girls' rights, which bullies gay people who admit openly they don't want opposite sex partners, and campaigns for the continued sterilisation of vulnerable and troubled kids," she continued.

"Do they feel any qualms at all while chanting the foundational lie of their religion: Trans Women are Women, Trans Men are Men? I have no idea. All I know for sure is that it's a complete waste of time telling a gender activist that their favourite slogan is self-contradictory nonsense, because the lie is the whole point," Rowling claimed.

Taking a swipe at the likes of Watson and Redmayne, the 59-year-old author suggested that some of the "signatories of these sorts of letters are motivated by fear" of "narcissistic men" and "back-stabbing colleagues ever ready to report wrongthink."

"I wonder if they ever ask themselves how they got here, and I wonder whether any of them will ever feel shame," she added, without naming names.

Conservatives rally around JK Rowling as she goes on lengty rant

Conservative netizens on X sided with JK Rowling's thoughts on the signatories of the letter and biological sexes.

One wrote, "Thank you for speaking honestly with precision and clarity," and another said, "Some people seem to believe they can alter reality by denying reality."

A person remarked, "They want to take away abject truth," whereas someone else added, "Rowling knows how to tell the truth and make it fun to read."

"Preach queen," an individual cheered.
