WASHINGTON, DC: Joe Biden's top advisor is "absolutely" blaming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for ruining his reelection bid.

The advisor has also accused Democratic funders of disregarding the primary voters' wishes in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris.

In her first interview since the 81-year-old president withdrew from the 2024 race, Anita Dunn, a senior assistant on communications for the White House who has since left for a super PAC led by Harris, attacked Biden's skeptics in Congress and elsewhere.

She suggested Democrats highlight the budget's 'child tax credits, lower prescription drug costs, universal pre-school' and as a tax cut for middle class families. What did Anita Dunn say to Joe Biden's doubters?

“You know, clearly there were leaders of the party who decided to go ahead and go very public. And that gave permission to other people to go public,” Dunn informed Politico of the increasing chorus of Democrats urging Joe Biden to drop out of the race after his disastrous debate performance on June 27.

Anita Dunn lashed out at Nancy Pelosi and George Clooney

Anita Dunn, when asked if she meant "senators and House members" and "when Nancy Pelosi goes on TV twice when things feel like they're dying down and reopens the debate," responded, "Absolutely."Pelosi (D-Calif) and other senior congressional Democrats casting doubt on Biden’s candidacy were “key moments,” she claimed, that kept the Biden campaign from “reaching a point where we would fight our way through it.”

“And then you had this decision that the Democratic Party made to ignore their primary voters and ignore their primary process, and that was a very donor-driven thing,” she added.

Dunn was probably alluding to Democratic megadonor and Hollywood star George Clooney's New York Times op-ed in which he called on Biden to halt his campaign, even if she did not mention it explicitly.

Barack Obama was aware of George Clooney's opinion piece on Joe Biden

The July 10 article acknowledged that Joe Biden's lack of mental acuity, which millions of Americans witnessed in his debate performance against former president Donald Trump, had been evident weeks earlier at a $30 million campaign fundraiser.

It is reported that former president Barack Obama knew of this but did nothing to stop it.

Pelosi appeared on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' on the same day the op-ed was published, announcing that "time is running short" to identify the Democratic Party's alternative contender.

Biden had made it apparent in a letter to Congress that he had no intention of resigning, and both pressure campaigns were stepped up until his startling admission on July 21 that it was "in the best interest of my party and the country for me to step down."

Anita Dunn says it's unusual for a presumed Democratic nominee to halt campaign

Anita Dunn added that "dial groups" of undecided voters evaluated both public polling and Joe Biden's debate performance, and that it was unprecedented for the presumed Democratic nominee to halt a campaign and support a rival candidate just weeks before the party convention.

“I had a lot of Republican friends who were sending me texts during this period saying, ‘Your party is insane,'” Dunn admitted while denying it was a Democratic Party “coup.”

“They were saying, ‘We’ve never seen anything like this. Our party closes ranks. You know, you fight it through. You have a 24-hour news cycle. He had a bad debate, and you move on,'” she added. “They could not believe what was going on here.”

She went on to further blame Pelosi for losing the House to Republicans in the 2022 midterms, suggesting that “had certain leaders … done a slightly better job, maybe we would control [it] today.”

Nancy Pelosi mocked Anita Dunn recently

In an interview this week to promote her new book, 'The Art of Power,' the former House speaker poked fun at Anita Dunn and other members of Joe Biden's political team, despite her gushing remarks in the days following the POTUS' withdrawal from the race about him going on Mount Rushmore.

“They won the White House. Bravo. But my concern was: This ain’t happening, and we have to make a decision for this to happen. The president has to make the decision for that to happen,” Pelosi said.

“I’ve never been that impressed with his political operation,” she added.

She and Biden have not spoken since the president cut short his re-election effort, Pelosi revealed on Monday, August 5.

Nancy Pelosi and Democrats slammed for turning their back on Joe Biden

Netizens sided with Anita Dunn as she decried Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Party for removing Joe Biden from the upcoming presidential election race.

One X user tweeted, "They did. They installed a candidate that wasn’t elected to run for president."

Another added, "They always ignore the will of the voters low-information mfs are either incompetent or malicious at this point."

"Nancy should be charged with insurrection," remarked one while someone else wrote, "14,000,000 Democrats did have their votes stolen from them. Not one of them voted for her," while referring to Harris.
