LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Podcaster Joe Rogan mocked President Donald Trump’s take on the Jeffrey Epstein case after Trump previously called the files a “hoax.” Rogan’s comments came during a conversation on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” where he joked, “I heard there are no files,” as the topic of Epstein surfaced.
Their discussion expanded to a new law mandating the release of additional documents tied to Epstein. Rogan’s sarcasm highlighted the contradiction in Trump’s stance, who had dismissed the files as a political ploy by Democrats.

When show guest Brian Simpson brought up the Epstein files vote, Rogan said, “I heard there’s no files. I heard it’s a hoax. And then all of a sudden he’s going to release the files. I thought there were no files. He wants an investigation now! Like, what is going on?”
Rogan also revealed that he briefly considered buying Epstein’s private island, infamous for his crimes. “We looked at that island. We were trying to buy it. We were actually, I shouldn’t say we were trying to buy it, we were thinking about it very briefly,” he said. “But it was too expensive. It was like 55 million.” Simpson reacted with disbelief. “What?! It’s not discounted now?” Rogan quipped, “That’s the discount!” The episode aired on Wednesday, November 19.
Donald Trump revives 'Democratic hoax' claim to push Epstein probe
Trump has consistently dismissed the Epstein files as a “Democratic hoax,” arguing that Democrats were using the case politically against him. He called Attorney General Pam Bondi to open an investigation into Epstein’s ties to prominent Democrats, including former President Bill Clinton.
On Truth Social, Trump said, “This is another Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, with all arrows pointing to the Democrats. Records show that these men, and many others, spent large portions of their life with Epstein, and on his ‘Island.’ Stay tuned!!!”

Trump also backed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, citing the need for public disclosure of Epstein’s connections to high-profile Democrats. The Justice Department has already provided tens of thousands of pages to lawmakers, and the new disclosures are intended to give the public a clearer view of the case.
