WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump shut down the noise and urged House Republicans to vote for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files. He said he isn’t interested in dragging out what he calls a “Democrat hoax” led by “Radical Left lunatics,” insisting he has “nothing to hide.”
He shared the message on Truth Social on Sunday, November 17, taking a shot at the “Fake” News Media, though he did not name specific outlets. The president added that some Republicans are being “used” and warned that the party cannot allow that to continue. He also cautioned his supporters not to fall into what he called the “Epstein trap.”
Trump urges House to release Epstein files
Trump has repeatedly stated that he has no connection to any case involving Epstein. He insists the controversy has been blown out of proportion and blames Democrats for escalating the issue.
Putting the matter to rest once again, Trump wrote, “As I said on Friday night aboard Air Force One to the Fake News Media, House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide.”
He continued pushing back against Democrats, saying, “It’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party, including our recent Victory on the Democrat ‘Shutdown.’”
Trump then addressed the status of the Epstein documents, adding, “The Department of Justice has already turned over tens of thousands of pages to the Public on ‘Epstein,’ are looking at various Democrat operatives (Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, Larry Summers, etc.) and their relationship to Epstein, and the House Oversight Committee can have whatever they are legally entitled to, I DON’T CARE!”
He urged Republicans to stay focused on their core agenda. “All I do care about is that Republicans get BACK ON POINT, which is the Economy, ‘Affordability’ (where we are winning BIG!), our Victory on reducing Inflation from the highest level in History to practically nothing, bringing down prices for the American People.”
Trump then listed other priorities, saying, “Delivering Historic Tax Cuts, gaining Trillions of Dollars of Investment into America (A RECORD!), the rebuilding of our Military, securing our Border, deporting Criminal Illegal Aliens, ending Men in Women’s Sports, stopping Transgender for Everyone, and so much more.”
He also criticized the renewed attention around Epstein, stating, “Nobody cared about Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive and, if the Democrats had anything, they would have released it before our Landslide Election Victory.”
Trump closed with a warning to his own party: “Some ‘members’ of the Republican Party are being ‘used,’ and we can’t let that happen. Let’s start talking about the Republican Party’s Record Setting Achievements, and not fall into the Epstein ‘TRAP,’ which is actually a curse on the Democrats, not us. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
Trump taps Pam Bondi as Epstein files probe intensifies
Trump addressed the issue in a Truth Social post, saying Democrats are trying to drag his name back into the Epstein story. To show he wasn’t avoiding the matter, Trump said he asked Pam Bondi to look into it.
Bondi later explained that she tapped Jay Clayton, the top prosecutor for the Southern District of New York, to lead the federal investigation.
Thank you, Mr. President. SDNY U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton is one of the most capable and trusted prosecutors in the country, and I’ve asked him to take the lead. For anyone unfamiliar, the Epstein Files Transparency Act would require the Justice Department to release every unclassified document connected to the late Jeffrey Epstein, including records, emails, and investigative files.
