LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Renowned podcast host Joe Rogan has shared his thoughts on the ongoing lawsuit battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

During a recent podcast episode with comedian Brendan Schaub, Rogan accused Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, of attempting to take control of a movie under Baldoni’s direction.

The legal conflict began in December 2024 when Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, citing serious charges. In response, Baldoni countersued Lively and Reynolds, and the case is set to go to trial on March 9, 2026.

Joe Rogan shares strong words about Blake Lively amid her lawsuit with Justin Baldoni

On the latest episode of 'The Joe Rogan Experience', which aired on Saturday, March 22, the podcast host took a deep dive into the ongoing lawsuit involving Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Justin Baldoni.

Rogan didn’t hold back, criticizing the situation and claiming that the couple’s actions had backfired.

“They f***ed up. Ryan's trying to get out of it now,” Rogan said. “He's trying to get out of the lawsuit and they're like ‘You are a key part of this.’”

Rogan further accused Lively and Reynolds of attempting to take over the movie and the entire franchise from the 41-year-old Baldoni. "The whole thing's crazy,. [They are] trying to take over the movie and the whole franchise' from the 41-year-old,” he added.

Rogan also highlighted Baldoni’s legal battles, noting that the director is suing the New York Times and reportedly has a strong case.

He agreed with Schaub, who suggested that Baldoni’s only chance to save his career would be to go "hard in the paint" in court.

“Especially a guy like that who's, like, known for being [a] really sweet, nice guy and then he's like, 'Alright, enough,'" Rogan said, praising Baldoni for releasing what he called “receipts,” such as text messages, in response to the lawsuit.

Among the text messages released by Baldoni was one in which Lively invited him into her trailer while she was "pumping," despite later accusing him of walking in on her while she was breastfeeding without her consent.

"You literally have a text exchange back and forth," Rogan pointed out.

“They just never thought that anybody was going to come out with the receipts,” Rogan continued, suggesting that the celebrity couple had underestimated the situation.

He also mentioned that many in Hollywood are too "scared" to take on the powerful couple, but Baldoni’s willingness to fight back with evidence is turning the tables.

In response, Baldoni launched a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, her publicist, and her husband,Reynolds, as per Dailymail.

The situation escalated further when Baldoni filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against the New York Times on December 31, claiming the paper only presented Lively’s version of events in its reporting on the allegations.

The New York Times has rejected Baldoni’s claims and requested the dismissal of his lawsuit. Baldoni’s legal team is fighting back, asking a judge to allow them to begin the discovery phase of the case, which would enable them to formally present their evidence.

Baldoni’s lawyers have accused the New York Times of going beyond simply reporting Lively's complaint and, instead, endorsing a false narrative. They argue that the article relied on “deceptively spliced private text messages” to support its claims, according to court documents obtained by CBR.

Meanwhile, Reynolds has filed a motion to be removed from Baldoni’s $400 million defamation lawsuit.
