LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The legal feud between Hollywood power couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds and actor-director Justin Baldoni is far from being over, but one side is already losing in the court of public opinion, according to a communications advisor.
Lively had filed a harassment suit against Baldoni, his Wayfarer studio, and former PR reps in December 2024. The 'Jane the Virgin' actor soon filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times over a story the outlet published about Lively's allegations against him.
He went on to sue Lively and Reynolds in a separate $400 million lawsuit, accusing the couple of attempting to hijack his film 'It Ends With Us' and creating their own narrative.

Expert suggests legal feud is disproportionately hurting Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds
Sharing her thoughts on the legal feud, communications advisor and former White House spokesperson Alexandra LaManna told Fox News Digital, "There are no real winners here, but right now, Blake and Ryan are losing the image war."

"The reputational risk of legal action only pays off when you have overwhelming public support, an airtight case, and full control of the narrative. None of that seems to be true here," she explained.
"Blake’s original lawsuit brought serious sexual harassment allegations, and that can’t be ignored. She and Ryan may have decided that speaking out was worth the reputational fallout, no matter the cost. But this is a he-said-she-said that is getting messier by the day, and it’s getting harder for Blake and Ryan to come out looking clean," continued LaManna.

"Fighting a case is one thing, winning over the public is another. If they can’t do that, their only option may be to step back and let time make people forget," she concluded.
Internet agrees with the expert's thoughts on the Justin Baldoni-Blake Lively legal feud
Alexandra LaManna's thoughts on the current situation of the legal feud seemed to resonate with the netizens as evidenced by posts shared on social media platforms.
One wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Team Justin, 100%. What they did to Justin, and what they attempted to do to him, are unforgivable. Ryan and Blake are truly evil incarnate," while another added, "No need for an expert on this."
"Well it’s obvious the Blake and Ryan are mean and nasty," a person declared.
"Well yeah. I’m a little embarrassed it took that many people this long to come around But it all about which narrative we are gaslit with and when. I certainly hope there was no torrid interaction between Justin and Blake, as that will blow up both of their defense," one more offered.
Another person added, "Not just 'image war'. it is blatantly clear that Baldoni bent over backwards to accommodate them, even though he was the Director. And Lively and Reynolds not only tried to destroy the film but Baldoni’s reputation too."

it is blatantly clear that Baldoni bent over backwards to accommodate them, even though he was the Director.
And Lively and Reynolds not only tried to destroy the film but Baldoni’s reputation too.
