LONDON, ENGLAND: WWE star John Cena made an appearance at Wimbledon on July 2, where he was seen watching the Aryna Sabalenka vs Marie Bouzkova match at Centre Court with his wife, Shay Shariatzadeh. 

Despite the official Wimbledon account sharing a video of the couple in the stands, viewers quickly turned the moment into a meme-filled reaction.

As the tennis action continued, attention briefly shifted to the stands when Wimbledon posted a clip of Cena and his wife sitting alongside Dave Grohl and Olivia Rodrigo.

The moment quickly went viral, as fans joked about Cena's iconic "You Can't See Me" taunt, referencing the WWE star’s in-ring move.

"It's great to see you at #Wimbledon, @JohnCena," the official Wimbledon account wrote. But fans were quick to mock the clip, with comments like: “I don’t see anybody. What a weird video,” and “Can you see him though?”



 

Others joined in with remarks such as, “I can’t see anyone,” and, “Who am I looking at? I see an empty seat.”



 



 

One comment read, “Admin clearly doesn’t have any eyes, cos where is he?” Another added, “Why the empty seat? Who are those ladies?”



 

 



 

The wrestling star is known for using a hand gesture in front of his face to signal his signature move, a taunt that has since become a long-running internet meme.

Celebrities in the crowd have long been a staple of the UK’s biggest tennis tournament, and several high-profile names have flocked to the event in 2025.

Former England manager Gareth Southgate and football legend David Beckham were in attendance on the opening day of play, June 30, according to Sportreview.

They watched as Carlos Alcaraz battled through a five-set victory over Italian veteran Fabio Fognini in the opening match on Centre Court.

Elsewhere, actresses Cate Blanchett and Rebel Wilson watched Jack Draper’s performance against Sebastian Baez on July 1.

On July 2, the Royal Box hosted royals, singers, and an Olympian as Alcaraz returned to Centre Court for a head-to-head with Brit Oliver Tarvet, following his thrilling first-round match against Fognini.

Olivia Rodrigo's boyfriend, Louis Partridge, was also in attendance, along with Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. Also present were Dave Grohl and his wife Jordyn Blum, Olympian Tom Daley, and Princess Michael of Kent.
