WASHINGTON, DC: Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) has blasted Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for her continuous bashing of President Joe Biden even after forcing him to drop out of the 2024 presidential race.

The senator said, “We can both agree that he had a rough debate,” referring to Biden and Trump’s June 27 presidential debate, as reported by Mediaite.

But he then mentioned, “People like [Nancy] Pelosi, she really tried to — what’s the word I’m looking for? — she embraced this ‘she’s the godmother, she’s the enforcer.’ And now she’s blaming Biden.

“Well, you can’t have it both ways. You got what you wanted, and now you’re still blaming Biden.”

“I think it’s really ironic that you have a woman at age 84 and she is still hanging on. Why not give a younger generation an opportunity to occupy that seat?” Fetterman added.

Nancy Pelosi targets Biden and Kamala Harris for 2024 election result

During a recent interview, Nancy Pelosi blamed Biden for Donald Trump’s win.

She said, “Had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race. The anticipation was that, if the president were to step aside, that there would be an open primary,” as per Mediaite.

She continued, “And as I say, Kamala may have, I think she would have done well in that and been stronger going forward. But we don’t know that. That didn’t happen. We live with what happened."

“And because the president endorsed Kamala Harris immediately, that really made it almost impossible to have a primary at that time. If it had been much earlier, it would have been different.”

Also, in August, the former House Speaker had claimed, “I’ve never been that impressed with his [Biden] political operation. They won the White House. Bravo. But my concern was: this ain’t happening, and we have to make a decision for this to happen. The president has to make the decision for that to happen.”

However, it was not only Nancy Pelosi who was critical of Joe Biden.

Following the November 5 election that saw Trump taking over the Oval Office for the second time, many democrats held Biden responsible.

Jim Manley, a top aide to former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, said, as per Politico, "He shouldn’t have run. This is no time to pull punches or be concerned about anyone’s feelings. He and his staff have done an enormous amount of damage to this country."

Praising Harris, Mark Longabaugh, ex-adviser to Sen Bernie Sanders (I-Vt), added, "She ran an extraordinary campaign with a very tough hand that was handed to her. The truth of the matter is, Biden should have stepped aside earlier and let the party put together a longer game plan."

Also, James Zogby, a veteran of the Democratic National Committee, asserted, "There was a Biden weariness. And he hung on too long."
