The pair once starred together in the hit sitcom 'Roseanne', but their offscreen connection has faded following the show’s cancellation.
Goodman, 73, told The Hollywood Reporter he has had no contact with Barr, 72, for quite some time.

“I haven’t spoken to her for about seven or eight years,” he said, referring to the time since 'Roseanne' was canceled on ABC in 2018 following Barr's tweet comparing Valerie Jarrett, a former advisor to President Barack Obama, to an ape.

The show's cancellation led to the creation of 'The Conners', with Goodman continuing in his role as Dan Conner. When asked if he would reconnect with his former co-star, Goodman replied, “I’d rather doubt if she wants to talk to me.”
John Goodman recalls his early bond with Roseanne Barr: 'It was so much fun'
Despite the years apart, Goodman looked back fondly on their early working relationship. “We hit it off from jump street. She made me laugh, and I made her laugh, and wow, it was so much fun,” said Goodman.

He also reflected on the success of the original show, saying, “We'd get so many viewers for the show back then — 20, 30 million people. Things are so different now, but it was a special time.”
'Roseanne' originally aired on ABC from 1988 to 1997 and returned for a 10th season in 2018.
The planned 11th season was canceled shortly after Barr's tweet, which led ABC to issue a statement calling her remarks “abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values,” according to then-ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey.
John Goodman on 'The Conners' ending: 'I'm old and resistant to change'
In a previous conversation with People, Goodman opened up about his feelings as 'The' Conners wrapped up its run.
“It’s really hard,” he said during a set visit. “It’s something I’m going to miss for a while. I’m old and resistant to change.”

Goodman noted how quickly the time had passed, saying the past seven seasons of the spinoff went by “so fast.”
He added, “It was so exciting when we got this together and it seems like it was two weeks ago.”
Goodman believes the original series and its spinoff resonated because of their authentic portrayal of American families.
“Focus on just kind of a normal family that's really been up against it,” he said. “And a lot of people in this country have been up against it for a long time.”
