John Legend and Tom Brady talk about balancing fame and Family, discussing spotlight on their children

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: John Legend made an appearance on the recent episode of the SiriusXM show 'Let’s Go!' alongside Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gray.

The 'All of Me' singer was questioned about how his children handle the attention they receive due to his fame.

"They take it in stride. They're used to it now. They know that their mom and dad are famous. They know, you know, their friends see their mom and dad on television," remarked Legend, who shares four children with his wife Chrissy Teigen.

"They see billboards with my face on it for The Voice or for my Vegas residency or whatever ... So I think they feel proud of me and proud of my music and proud that people love what I do and what my wife does,” he added.

Brady admitted it is a 'challenge' for his kids

Responding to the same question before Legend, the NFL champion shared, “It's challenging. We have unique challenges for our own kids. We try to teach 'em the right values and so forth. But at the same time, I feel like for me, when I'm out with my kids, I really wanna be with them, you know?"

Brady continued, "And I really make it clear to people, 'Sorry, I'm just out here enjoying my time with my family, you know?'"

"And whether I'm at a game for my son, and I love doing that, but, you know, a lot of times the attention gets shifted to us and I don't want to take away from their moments 'cause this is their important part of their life and their maturation," the father of three shared.

How many children does the NFL star have?

The former athlete is a father to Vivian Lake, 11, and Benjamin Rein, 14, with his ex Gisele Bundchen. He also has a son, Jack, 16, whom he shares with his ex Bridget Moynahan, according to People.

The 46-year-old also believes that his children should understand that "everything comes at a cost."

"The reason we get to go on a lot of fun vacations and you guys go to schools and have people to help [is because] we have to deal with some things that are different than everyone else," he added.

Brady further stated, "So there's no straight arrow for anyone in life. Everyone's gonna find different curves and turns and twists and trying to just be a great parent.”
