Katie Gaudreau reveals wedding band with brothers Johnny and Matthew's initials

Katie posted on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, September 7, that she had engraved Johnny and Matthew's initials "J & M" on the side of her wedding band as a tribute to her two brothers.

She posted a close-up of her new wedding band in a monochrome image with the words "J & M" on it. She was seen holding the ring up to the camera, the new inscription wedged between her fingers.

"Forever with me now. J&M," she wrote over the picture.

In a post, she mentioned how close she used to be to her "absolute best big brothers." She added, "There are absolutely no words I have to express the bond my family shared. The entire world knows there would never have been a John without Matty or Matty without John."

"This will never be a goodbye post because I will never stop saying your names and honoring you both. I’ll take the best care of mom, dad, Kristen, Mer, and Madeline, your babies," she added.

NHL forward Johnny, along with his spouse Meredith Gaudreau, have a daughter named Noa and a baby named Johnny. Meanwhile, Matthew and his wife Madeline Gaudreau were expecting their first child, per Us Weekly.

According to New Jersey State Police, Matthew and Johnny were struck and killed on Thursday, August 29, by a driver who was perhaps intoxicated when he tried to pass another car.

Sean M Higgins, 43, was driving when he crashed with another vehicle, stated the New Jersey police. Higgins is still in custody and is currently held on two counts of death by vehicle.

The event occurred as they were riding their bikes in their hometown, where the two brothers were scheduled to be groomsmen at Katie's wedding.
