Meredith, already raising two young children with Johnny and recently revealing she is pregnant with their third, turned to Instagram to express her deep sorrow.

"It’s been really hard watching hockey start up and seeing how different my life is now. My whole life was taking care of John and our kids. It’s all I ever wanted," she wrote in her post.

The young couple, who married in September 2021, had created a beautiful family together. They welcomed their first daughter, Noa, in 2022, and their son Johnny was born just six months ago.

During an emotional moment at Johnny's funeral, Meredith revealed she is now nine weeks pregnant with their third child, calling it a bittersweet blessing amid her overwhelming grief.

In her emotional tribute, Meredith reflected on their brief yet deeply fulfilling life together. "In less than three years of marriage, we have created a family of five," she said. "It doesn't even sound possible, but I look at it as the ultimate blessing. How lucky am I to be the mother of John's three babies, our last one being a blessing and so special despite these difficult circumstances."

Johnny Gaudreau leaves behind a loving family, including his wife Meredith, their one-year-old daughter Noa, their infant son Johnny, and their unborn child. As the NHL season kicks off, the hockey world mourns alongside Meredith as she faces life without her beloved husband.
