Jon Favreau praises Tom Holland as 'sweetest guy', reflects on years of friendship
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Tom Holland is one of those Hollywood actors who seems to get along with literally everyone he works with, and Jon Favreau is no exception.
While appearing on a cooking and serving style show, 'The Mandalorian and Grogu' director Favreau spoke about Holland and did not hold back on praise, calling him “the sweetest guy you’ve ever met”.
Having worked with him across multiple 'Avengers' films, Favreau also addressed whether fame had changed the actor at all. His answer was simple and clear that Holland "has not changed one bit" and is still the same person he met years ago.

During an appearance on 'Dish Podcast', which was released on YouTube on Wednesday, May 20, Jon Favreau joined as a guest and opened up about his recent directorial project starring Pedro Pascal alongside the Grogu character. The conversation also drifted into cooking, food experiences, and his earlier work in similar formats.

Jon Favreau and Tom Holland’s Marvel bond grows from on-screen mentor role to real-life friendship
Favreau and Holland have built a real, long-running friendship that started on the sets of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has clearly grown beyond it. Favreau, who plays Happy Hogan, and Holland, who plays Peter Parker, first connected through a mentor and protector type dynamic that followed them both on and off screen.
They worked together in 'Captain America: Civil War' and 'Spider-Man: Homecoming', where Happy was basically assigned to look after Peter. Favreau has spoken about how that dynamic changed over time, saying, “In the beginning, I was kind of annoyed by him, and I was a babysitter assigned to look after him in the background of what was happening in ‘Civil War,’ but now, after ‘Infinity War’ and ‘Endgame’, all the characters have been through a lot emotionally."
"I like what this relationship has evolved to, and, of course, working with an actor like Tom Holland with scenes that are both funny and emotional is great because I don’t get to act like this that often," as per Variety.
