Jeannie Enyeart's family chastises murder accused

French was arraigned in court on Tuesday, February 6 and entered a not guilty plea to the charges. When Enyeart's family was given the chance to speak, they addressed him directly.

KATU News reported, mother of Jeannie Enyeart, Helen Eskelson, said, "You need to look at me. Look at me, Jon. Why? You came to our home."

She went on to say, "We ate together. We played games together."

"You swore to me on how much you loved her and I thanked you for that. Is this how you express your love to Jeannie, your queen, like trash? May God have mercy on your pathetic soul."

“All she wanted was love in her life,” Kristin Enyeart, Jeannie’s sister remarked. “That’s all she was missing. And she ran into this person. Not only did you kill my sister, you killed my family along with her. How dare you take her away from me and her entire family?”

“He took my mother away from me and I can’t explain how I feel to you guys the pain that I feel every day,” stated Enyeart’s son, Antonio Reyes Enyeart.

“You will burn in the depths of hell for what you’ve done to my family and my sister,” Mychal Enyeart, Enyeart’s brother said.

Jeannie Enyeart's body found in car crushed under snow

On Saturday, January 27, at 93rd Avenue and Northeast Holladay Street, Enyeart was last seen in the vicinity of her residence.

Her vehicle was discovered by authorities on a rural Skamania County road, crushed under a bank of snow, on January 29.

The same day's surveillance footage captures French at the Skamania County Sheriff's Office, where he tries to retrieve the vehicle but could not as he was not the registered owner.

The car was searched by Portland Police on January 31 while it was still at the sheriff's office. At that point, they discovered Enyeart's body in the rear seat, hidden under a blanket and a few bulky objects, according to KATU.

According to Enyeart's family, when she went missing on January 27, the couple was in the midst of moving. The couple had intended to drive to Vancouver to pick up some belongings from a storage unit, according to her family.

After her disappearance, French took to Facebook to ask assistance from the public in locating Enyeart.

According to court records, he admitted to police that he had no memory of taking Enyeart's vehicle to Skamania County or making any effort to retrieve it.

French will remain incarcerated without to bail for the entirety of the legal proceedings. His next court date is February 14.
