LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As the former vice president Kamala Harris makes headlines following the publication of her new memoir, '107 Days,' which recounts her loss and shares her main excuse for a potential 2024 defeat, Jon Stewart said he disagreed with her reason.

During ‘The Weekly Show’ with Jon Stewart, the host expressed skepticism about Harris’ claim that she lost the 2024 presidential election due to the brevity of her campaign.

When Kamala Harris repeated the same claim about why she might lose the 2024 presidential election, at the 52:00 timestamp, Jon Stewart declared he disagreed with it.

Harris said, “I do believe one of the biggest factors that was at play in the 107 days — we just didn’t have enough time. We didn’t have enough time.”

Stewart expressed skepticism, asking, “Or was it too much time? I mean, if you had done the election after 60 days, I think you win, honestly."

He added, There seemed like a stagnation point. And then if you look at the lines …what would have changed?”

It is worth noting that the New York Times polling showed Harris’ biggest leads occurred during the middle of her campaign. Harris then highlighted another factor for her 2024 loss.

Harris claimed previously, “[He] [Trump] has spent tens of millions of dollars trying to hit me with a bunch of disinformation and misinformation on this, and he’s living in a glass house because the policies he’s speaking about in terms of those surgeries were also his policies. And the reality of it is that also those ads relate to two people.”

Notably, Harris described how she worked behind the scenes to give prisoners access to operations at taxpayer expense during a 2019 press conference.

In a 2019 questionnaire from the American Civil Liberties Union, submitted during her 2020 campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination, Harris also advocated providing such operations to transgender undocumented immigrants at taxpayer expense.

Kamala Harris discusses Joe Biden’s personal fitness for office

Further in the same interview with Jon Stewart, Kamala Harris surprised the host when she said that Joe Biden was fit to serve another four years in office. She began, “I care about him deeply and I did not want to pile on with all the criticism that he was facing. I didn’t think it was necessary.”

Stewart then asked Harris to clarify whether her remarks referred to Biden’s political decisions or his personal fitness for office. She said, “I believe he was fully competent to serve.” A surprised Stewart asked, “Do you really?” Harris reiterated firmly, “I do.” Stewart responded, “That surprises me, actually.”

Harris then explained, “Being a candidate for President of the United States is about being in a marathon at a sprinter’s pace, having tomatoes thrown at you every step you take.”

While admitting that her relationship with Biden was “complicated” during the 2024 election, she revealed that they are on good terms now: “We still speak.”
