Joe Rogan sounds the alarm on aging leaders, says 80-year-old Trump ‘doesn't have much to lose’
AUSTIN, TEXAS: Podcaster and comedian Joe Rogan shared some blunt thoughts about Donald Trump and aging political leaders during a recent episode of his podcast.
Speaking on the Wednesday, March 11, episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience,’ Rogan said it can feel unsettling when leaders nearing the later stages of life make decisions that could shape the future of the world.
“He's 80. He doesn't have much to lose,” Rogan said during the conversation.
Joe Rogan on Trump: "He's 80. He doesn't have much to lose. That's the scary thing about old leaders. Death is imminent — it's within a decade, if you're lucky. That's spooky. You're making decisions for…the future of the world and you've only got maybe 10 years left on earth." pic.twitter.com/6glbxQEkjs

Joe Rogan says aging leaders making global decisions is a 'scary thing'
During the discussion, Rogan explained why he feels concerned about the age of elderly world leaders.
“Death is imminent - it's within a decade, if you're lucky. That's spooky. You're making decisions for…the future of the world and you've only got maybe 10 years left on earth,” Rogan said.
He suggested that the contrast between the length of political decisions and the remaining lifespan of leaders can make those choices feel more intense.
Joe Rogan points out how Iran conflict contradicts Donald Trump’s campaign message
On another episode of his podcast, Rogan spoke about the ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran while discussing global leadership.
He also highlighted how the situation affected some of Trump’s supporters, and argued that the ongoing conflict appears to clash with the message Trump used during his campaign, which focused heavily on avoiding new wars.
“Well, it just seems so insane, based on what he ran on,” Rogan said during the episode.
Rogan suggested that many people supported Trump because they believed he would keep the United States away from unnecessary overseas conflicts.
“I mean, this is why a lot of people feel betrayed, right?” he asked.
Joe Rogan says some Trump supporters feel confused about the situation
Rogan went on to point out that Trump had repeatedly talked about ending long wars and avoiding what he described as "senseless" conflicts.
“He ran on, ‘No more wars,’ ‘End these stupid, senseless wars,’ and then we have one that we can’t even really clearly define why we did it,” Rogan said.
According to Rogan, this disconnect is why some voters now feel frustrated or confused.
For many supporters who backed Trump because of his anti-war message, the current situation raises difficult questions about whether those promises still hold.
