WASHINGTON, DC: Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly sharply criticized congressional candidate Jack Schlossberg during a recent episode of her SiriusXM podcast, mocking his résumé, campaign conduct, and political rise while arguing he is benefiting primarily from his famous family name.

The comments followed a New York Times profile that highlighted reported internal issues within Schlossberg’s Democratic congressional campaign, including missed meetings and staff turnover.

Megyn Kelly questions Jack Schlossberg’s qualifications and experience

Kelly mocked Schlossberg’s Ivy League background, noting that he attended Yale before earning joint law and business degrees from Harvard, while questioning whether his experience justifies a run for Congress.

“Jack Schlossberg, who is perhaps better known as JFK’s grandson … and he’s an absolute idiot,” Kelly said on Thursday’s episode of SiriusXM’s ‘The Megyn Kelly Show.’

“He’s 33 years old. He is a total idiot.”

“If there’s better proof that those things mean nothing when you’ve got a family connection in particular, I don’t know of it,” Kelly added.

Campaign operations face scrutiny amid reported dysfunction

Kelly also referenced reports of instability within Schlossberg’s campaign following allegations of missed strategy sessions, scheduling issues, and staff turnover.

According to the New York Times profile discussed on Kelly’s show, Schlossberg allegedly skipped fundraising calls and campaign meetings during parts of the rollout.

Schlossberg launched his bid last year for New York’s 12th Congressional District, the Manhattan-based House seat being vacated by retiring Rep. Jerry Nadler.

Megyn Kelly criticizes Schlossberg’s work history and public persona

Schlossberg is the son of Caroline Kennedy and designer Edwin Schlossberg and has long been viewed as part of a prominent Democratic political family.

Kelly questioned his prior professional experience before entering politics.

“The only thing he’s accomplished is he worked for Vogue as a correspondent for like, a couple of freelance articles that went nowhere, and then worked for John Kerry for four months at the State Department doing absolutely nothing,” she said.

“So, that’s it. He’s 33, by this point, you should have something.”

Kelly further pointed to his public image and online presence, suggesting it reflects a lack of seriousness in political preparation.

Schlossberg’s campaign continues despite criticism

Despite the criticism, Schlossberg remains active in a crowded Democratic primary.

Federal Election Commission filings through March showed he raised more than $2.2 million, keeping him competitive in the race.
