Julie Chrisley won't divorce 'completely broken' husband Todd despite rumored resentment over prison stint
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: For ten years, Todd and Julie Chrisley will live apart geographically, but their hearts will always be connected.
The couple has no plans to split up, despite speculations that a divorce was imminent. According to their attorney, Jay Surgent, their marriage is stronger than it has ever been.
Todd and Julie are 'more in love' then before
The lawyer notified a news outlet Todd and Julie are even more in love now than they were when they started their protracted prison terms in January for tax evasion and bank fraud.
Surgent underlined that getting a divorce would be the last thing either partner would do because they both still rely on their shared faith in God to get them through the difficult times ahead, as reported by Okmagazine.
The 'Chrisley Knows Best' stars are adamant that the "criminal justice system will prevail" and that they will experience the "right thing" because of God's intervention, according to the news source.
Julie might file to dissolve her marriage after 27 years
In response to a recent report suggesting Julie might file to dissolve her marriage after 27 years, Surgent made bold comments to the contrary.
According to a source supposedly close to the convicted scammers, "Julie's friends are certain that she will eventually divorce Todd for convincing her to go along with his foolproof plan that landed them in prison," adding that Todd "is hopeless and completely broken."
Todd 'spends his days in isolation'
The insider added, "He spends his days in isolation because a lot of the prisoners don’t like him due to the fact he has been blabbing about the prison conditions," as per reports.
The insider continued, "Todd is preaching to anyone who will listen. But he is only making things worse for himself. Regardless of what he does, he is still stuck in jail for the next decade."
The father-of-five never persuaded his wife to agree to anything, according to Todd's attorney, who specifically addressed the patriarch's allegedly "foolproof" plan.
Julie has "always maintained her position that she didn't have much do to with the business affairs of their company and wasn't aware what her financial advisors were doing," the first news outlet reported.
Todd is serving his 10-year sentence at FPC Pensacola
Whether he's happily married or not, Todd is still serving his 10-year sentence at FPC Pensacola in Florida; however, Surgent and the other members of the Chrisley family's legal team are still striving to have the spouses' convictions overturned.
Julie received a 14-month sentence reduction, and she is currently serving her seven-year sentence at Federal Medical Center (FMC) Lexington in Kentucky.
TMZ spoke with the Chrisleys' attorney to refute divorce rumors, after Daily Mail spoke with a source who suggested Julie and Todd thought it was time to call it quits.
