LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cardi B's team has disclosed a harrowing encounter she had with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) over the weekend, describing it as a distressing experience.

I got stopped by the cops yesterday. You gon’ see, it’s gonna hit TMZ real soon. They thought I was trafficking. Yeah, they thought I was trafficking fentanyl. And they thought I had a gun in my car.”

The Grammy-winning rapper further alleged that the LAPD had detained her outside for three hours. She also stated her intention to take legal action against the LAPD.

“They had me getting butt naked outside,” she continued. “S**t was crazy. It was deada*s a movie and whatever. But you already know I’m ’bout to sue the LAPD. They got me f****d up for doing it.”

The 31-year-old added, "It was, like, some white cops or something. They didn’t know who I was so they was really tough on me and everything. They said that somebody gave them a clue. I already feel like it was one of my opps and s**t. They really trying to ruin my life.”

However, contrary to this, when Billboard reached LAPD for comment, the police department denied Cardi B’s allegations and said, “We don’t have any record of any traffic stop.”
