Justin Baldoni's 'It Ends with Us' feud not limited to Blake Lively as 'there is much more to this story'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The controversies surrounding the alleged feud between ‘It Ends With Us’ director Justin Baldoni, 40, and the film’s star Blake Lively, 36, are not subsiding anytime soon.
In fact, the controversy is diving deeper with a set source claiming the other members of the principal cast along with ‘It Ends With Us’ book author Colleen Hoover are at odds with Baldoni.
The set source recently shared with People that the alleged feud goes beyond the creative differences between Baldoni and Lively.
Justin Baldoni is reportedly at odds with other cast members of 'It Ends With Us'
Previously, it was reported that Baldoni was unfollowed on Instagram by both Hoover, on whose novel the film is based, and Lively. He, however, still follows them on Instagram.
Recently, a source from the set of ‘It Ends With Us’ shared with PEOPLE, "All is not what it seems.”
The source added, "There is much more to this story. The principal cast and [author] Colleen Hoover will have nothing to do with him."
It has also been alleged by certain sources that during the New York premiere of the motion picture, Baldoni and Lively viewed their film sitting in two different auditoriums.
The cast members were also not photographed together with Baldoni during the New York premiere on August 6. He did most of the press solo as well.
Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively feud related to creative differences
On August 8, a Hollywood Reporter article reported that there was "was a fracture among the filmmakers in the post-production process, wherein two different cuts of the movie emerged.”
Another source, meanwhile, shared with People, that the friction initiated because of the “creative differences” and got “overblown” since then.
They further claimed that Lively "wants to direct the next movie, sidelining him and securing the rights from Colleen." Even though, there are no yet words of a sequel based on the second novel of the series, ‘It Starts With Us’.
The rights of the novela are, however, still with Baldoni’s Wayfarer Studios. During the New York premiere, Baldoni even suggested, "I think that there are better people for that one," before adding, "I think Blake Lively's ready to direct. That's what I think."
Justin Baldoni accused of being ‘chauvinistic’ and ‘borderline abusive’
Another source, while talking to Daily Mail, claimed that Baldoni behaved in a “chauvinistic” and “borderline abusive” manner while filming the motion picture.
He was also allegedly “dismissive” of Lively’s suggestions while depicting scenes of abuse in the film, and did not allegedly pay attention to her creative inputs.
The source shared, “Justin almost became the character in the sense that some women on set felt he was borderline abusive to them and that he was unprofessional and unapologetic.”
