Justin Baldoni's lawyer slams Ryan Reynolds for 'obvious' jab in deleted 'Deadpool & Wolverine' scene
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Justin Baldoni's lawyer has accused Ryan Reynolds of disparaging the 'It Ends with Us' director in Reynold's most recent 'Deadpool & Wolverine' movie.
Baldoni's lawyer claimed that a recently circulated deleted sequence from 'Deadpool & Wolverine' is an "obvious" diss to his client after viewers noticed the resemblance between Reynolds' "Nicepool" character and Baldoni, per OK! Magazine.
The more I learn about Nicepool’s character, the more evident it becomes that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively were mocking Justin Baldoni in the Deadpool & Wolverine movie. Here are all the scenes where Nicepool is imitating Justin Baldoni 🧵

Justin Baldoni's lawyer calls Ryan Reynolds' shade in film an 'obvious' one
In an interview with Megyn Kelly on Tuesday, January 7, Justin Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, chastised Blake Lively's husband for allegedly making fun of his client in 'Deadpool & Wolverine'.
"If your wife is sexually harassed, you don’t make fun of Justin Baldoni," he said. "You don’t make fun of the situation. You take it very seriously," Freedman declared.
He continued by saying: "You file HR complaints, you raise the issue and you follow a legal process. What you don’t do is mock the person and turn it into a joke. Again, if somebody is seriously sexually harassed, you don’t make fun of it. It’s a serious issue."
Freedman went on to say that there was "no question [the scene] relates to Justin." Reynolds, as Nicepool, appears sporting a man bun, the hairdo that Baldoni wore for decades until 2023.
He exclaimed, "Oh my goodness, wait til you’ve seen Ladypool. She is gorgeous. She just had a baby too, and [you] can’t even tell," referring to Lively's portrayal.
The character went on to say later in the scene: "I'd be fighting alongside you, but my calling is to one day start a podcast that monetizes the women’s movement."
People took to social media to vent about the "direct dig," while Freedman told Kelly that the sarcasm was an "obvious" jab toward Baldoni.
According to one user, Lively's character "lights up" Nicepool in front of a flower shop, seemingly alluding to her character Lily Bloom from 'It Ends With Us', per Page Six.
Another X (formerly Twitter) user commented, "Idk, a lot of the jokes are just funny. And clearly meant to be jokes poking at people who does those type of things."
"Maybe one or two were a bit specific, which is probably why they weren’t included in the film in the first place and why they are deleted scenes?"
Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni on December 20, revealing to the public that the issues between the two on production were more serious than they first appeared to be.
During his appearance on 'The Megyn Kelly Show', Freedman reiterated their intention to sue Lively "into oblivion."
He further reaffirmed his recent pledge to provide evidence to support their claims by saying the case would be "full of evidence, admissions, documents."
Justin Baldoni's lawyer reveals Blake Lively will be sued
Bryan Freedman also addressed the widely circulated allegation that the 'Deadpool & Wolverine' version, Nicepool, is a jab at Justin Baldoni, and said that they also plan to sue Ryan Reynolds.
"There's a number of different defendants here," Freedman hinted to the impending legal action, per CBR.
"Stephanie Jones will be all over this complaint — she is the PR agent who was supposed to be working for Justin Baldoni. Leslie Sloan, another PR agent, will be part of this lawsuit. And Blake Lively will be sued, and we are carefully considering other people who will be sued," he said, adding, "Ryan Reynolds for sure."
He went on to say, "What Ryan Reynolds has seemingly done is used his power and influence to not only help Blake Lively take over this movie, but he's used it on Deadpool, to make fun of Justin Baldoni."
"Arguably, for the first time at the premiere, you find out that Blake Lively tells people that, out of a sudden, he wrote a scene in the movie, shocking everybody — shocking Sony, shocking the production staff, it's the first they're hearing it. And Justin handles that really, really well," Freedman said about his possible inclusion in the impending lawsuit.
