The singer shared the sad news with his fans through a touching tribute on Instagram, reflecting on their close bond and cherished memories.
Dale, the father of Bieber’s mother Pattie Mallette, died peacefully at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth on Thursday, according to an obituary posted by the WG Young Funeral Home in Stratford, Ontario, TMZ noted

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Justin Bieber shared a photo of himself as a teenager with his late grandfather.
He wrote, "Papa, I always took all ur money lol." The 31-year-old added, "I remember u specifically telling me, gramma gave u an allowance of 20 dollars for the WEEK!

"I would always convince you to spend on snacks at the hockey game on Friday nights," Bieber added.
He continued recalling the treats his grandfather would buy. "Reluctantly you always gave it to me. Corn nuts, skittles, gum balls, chuck a puck, slush puppies."
He also gave a shoutout to the referees from their hockey game nights, saying, "Shout out to the jr b referees Beatty, Fagon, Flanagan lmfao."

Bieber remembered his grandfather’s fiery spirit during the games, writing, "For enduring all of my grandpas heckling for all of your horrible referee calls lmfao, my grandpa wasn’t shy in letting them know that they were being pieces of s***s."

The singer reflected further on the bond they shared, writing, "I can’t wait to see u again soon in heaven. Until then I know ur watching down probly still heckling Beatty or Fagon for missing that cross check call in the corner there lmfao."

Bieber closed his message by saying, "I will miss u. I will ache And I’ll sit and let myself remember all of the wonderful times we’ve had."
Bruce Dale had been a supportive figure throughout Bieber’s rise to fame.
He even appeared in Bieber’s 2011 documentary, 'Never Say Never', which captured the singer preparing for a sold-out performance at Madison Square Garden during his My World Tour.
In a 2018 interview at the Steps to Stardom Exhibition at Stratford Perth Museum, Dale became emotional when recalling his grandson’s early performances.
"Seeing him on the stage for the first time was amazing," he said, adding, "I can sit and talk with anybody about anything, but when it comes to talking about him I get emotional."
