According to body language expert Judi James, who analyzed their interaction for The Mirror, Bieber appeared to be “acting like a grumpy teenager”, exhibiting avoidant behavior that suggests he wants to “hide from the world”.

James pointed out that while Hailey, 27, appeared “perfectly groomed”, with an upright posture and an elevated chin that conveyed poise and confidence, Bieber’s demeanor was the opposite.
