Kai Trump gives Gen Z White House tour, reveals grandpa's Diet Coke button
WASHINGTON, DC: Kai Trump, granddaughter of President Donald Trump, shared a casual video tour of the White House with her followers, walking through several rooms and sharing personal anecdotes about life inside the building ahead of a major event marking the country's 250th anniversary and her grandfather's birthday.
The tour took viewers through the main entrance, the Red Room, the Blue Room and the Oval Office. Kai Trump offered an informal, behind-the-scenes look at spaces not typically seen by the public, mixing family stories with bits of White House history along the way.

From joking that George Washington is her “best friend” to casually explaining that the Red Room is red and the Blue Room is blue, the tour felt less like a history lesson and more like a FaceTime from America's most…
"He has a Diet Coke button. So if he presses the red button, Diet Coke comes out," she said.
She also poked fun at the room's extensive gold detailing, joking that her grandfather "hates gold" before correcting herself.
"That's a joke. He loves gold. It's his favorite thing on the planet, if you guys haven't noticed," she said, noting that Trump had gold added throughout the room down to small decorative trays and coasters.
She also pointed to other items in the office, including the Declaration of Independence on display and the president's desk, which she said held a tray of Sharpies.
She described sitting in Trump's chair, calling it "very, very heavy" but comfortable.
Walking through the residence's second floor, Kai Trump recalled tripping on the carpet during a previous visit and said she used to play soccer in the halls of the White House growing up. She estimated her family's time around the building at roughly a decade, dating back to 2017.

Kai Trump's walk-through also previewed preparations underway for a large event being held the same evening, which she said would mark both the 250th anniversary of the United States and her grandfather's birthday.
She said most tickets for the event were being given to active-duty military members.
"But let's take a sneak peek before the big event. Everyone gets in. We're walking in. I think the fighters probably walk through here, if I'm assuming, that they definitely probably walk right through here. Apparently, this is supposed to hold 4,000 people."
"I think that's really special that the White House, Dan and my grandpa are all doing that for the 250th anniversary of America and my grandpa's birthday, which is crazy," she said. "Happy birthday, grandpa. We love you."
She also showed the putting green near the Oval Office and an outdoor space being prepared to seat what she said was meant to be a crowd of 4,000 people for the evening's festivities, though she questioned whether the space could hold that many.
"A lot of work went into this, and it's cool seeing it all come together," she said.
