GLENDALE, ARIZONA: Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States and Democratic presidential nominee experienced a close call during a rally in Arizona, narrowly avoiding a fall as she ascended the stage to a roaring crowd.

The incident, reminiscent of the stumbles that have plagued President Joe Biden during his term, occurred as Harris made her way up the stairs in a packed stadium in Glendale, as reported by Daily Mail.

The rally, held in the Desert Diamond Arena, was meant to be a powerful display of Democratic unity and strength. Kamala Harris was welcomed onto the stage by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who did not miss the opportunity to criticize former president Donald Trump in his address.

However, in a surprising turn, Harris acknowledged that despite the perceived loss of momentum in Trump's campaign following her replacement of Biden on the Democratic ticket, her supporters still faced an uphill battle.

"We are still the underdogs in this race," Harris warned, a statement that took many by surprise given the current political climate.

The rally's timing coincided with Trump's event in Montana, which faced an unexpected delay due to a mechanical issue that forced his plane to make an emergency landing. Despite the setback, Trump managed to proceed with his event, albeit later than scheduled.

As Harris began her speech, she was quickly interrupted by pro-Palestine protesters in the crowd. Demonstrating a calm and composed demeanor, she quieted her supporters and addressed the protesters directly.

"Let me just say this, on the topic of what I think I’m hearing over there. I have been clear, now is the time to get a ceasefire deal and get the hostage deal done," Harris began.

Her response elicited cheers from the crowd, particularly as she openly called for a ceasefire in the ongoing Middle East conflict.

The rally drew over 15,000 attendees, according to the Harris campaign, marking a significant turnout as the presidential election draws nearer.

Harris was joined on stage by several prominent Democrats, including Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, who was once considered a potential running mate for her presidential bid.

Kelly, a former Navy fighter pilot, took the opportunity to praise Walz's military record, which had recently come under scrutiny due to allegations that he retired from the National Guard early to avoid deployment.

Kelly defended Walz, stating, "He served honorably in uniform for decades, and he has brought that experience to everything he has done since—fighting for our service members, fighting for veterans, and fighting for military families."
