SAVANAH, GEORGIA: Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris recently revealed in an interview that 'It was clear' President Joe Biden was going to endorse her despite her not asking for it.

President Joe Biden stepped down from the Presidential race in July after a dismal debate performance against GOP presidential nominee Trump in June and endorsed Kamala Harris as the new pick, according to The Wrap.

During an interview with CNN's Dana Bash, Kamala Harris praised Joe Biden and said, "He has the intelligence, the commitment, and the judgment and disposition that I think the American people rightly deserve in their president."

Bash asked Harris about the phone call between Biden and her when he officially decided to withdraw his candidacy. Harris said her extended family was staying with her and the President gave her a call after breakfast. 



 

She said, "It was clear he was going to support me." Harris added that she asked Biden if he was sure of his decision, and he said yes. She further praised Biden and said, "History is going to show that in so many ways it was transformative."

She added, "Not only has Joe Biden led an administration that has achieved those extraordinary successes, but the character of the man is one that he has been, in his life and career, including as a president, quite selfless and puts the American people first."

Harris also defended her shift on certain policy issues over the years. She said on fracking that she made it clear in the 2020 debate that she no longer supports a ban and that as a president, she would not ban fracking. She also added that she took the climate crisis seriously.

She said, "We can increase a thriving clean energy economy without banning fracking."

Harris added that she thought laws should be followed and enforced on immigration and said that she was the only candidate in the race who has prosecuted transnational criminal organizations, per the Guardian.

She went on to say that she would appoint a Republican to her cabinet if she won saying, "I have spent my career inviting diversity of opinion."

She added, "I think it’s important to have people at the table when some of the most important decisions are being made that have different views, different experiences. And I think it would be to the benefit of the American public to have a member of my cabinet who was a Republican."

Internet slams Kamala Harris for revealing she knew Joe Biden would endorse her

Several people on the internet slammed Kamala Harris as she revealed during a CNN interview that 'It was clear' President Joe Biden was going to endorse her despite her not asking for it.

A user wrote on X, "27 minutes of nothing. Wow. She is worse than a train wreck," while one added, "Who ever believes a word this Women is saying has no clue."
