LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kanye West has once again found himself at this center of controversy after posting a bizarre video on X, in which he claimed that longtime friend John Legend turned against him due to his support for President Donald Trump.

In the video titled 'Update', West reflected on his recent activity on the platform, calling it “very therapeutic” before shifting his focus to how many people he feels have “crossed” him over the years.

Kanye West claims he 'changed' John Legends' life

Among those he named was John Legend, whom he accused of being ungrateful for the career opportunities Kanye West allegedly provided him.

“I definitely changed his life… brought him up, all that,” West stated.

He clarified that his support for Trump was never meant to target Legend personally, but claimed that Legend became “a very vocal person against me.”

“I can't be his friend anymore... I put you on… I just didn’t appreciate it,” West continued.

His remarks suggested that he expected loyalty from Legend, whom he has worked with since the early 2000s.

Kanye West's rambling statements and allegations

Throughout the video, Kanye West made several incoherent and cryptic statements, including referencing being “gaslit” and discussing his daughter’s involvement with a mysterious woman he accused of doing “evil s**t.”

“These celebrities never say nothing, but they'll say something about my hat,” he said, appearing to reference backlash he received over wearing a Trump-supporting “MAGA” hat.

“It just hit me in a different place. And it was too basic,” he added.

West also expressed frustration over his custody situation, lamenting his lack of control over his children’s education and media consumption.

“It’s a slap in the face to be able to get all that money and still not have say-so on when your kids go to school or when you see them or what their content is, what they’re watching,” he ranted.

Kanye West's controversial comments about Jay-Z and Beyonce’s children

Kanye West’s video followed a highly inflammatory post on X, in which he made offensive remarks about Jay-Z and Beyonce’s twin children.

The now-deleted post included derogatory language, including an offensive slur about disabilities as he questioned why the public had rarely seen the twins, according to OK Magazine.

“NOW JAY-Z and BEYONCE ON THE OTHER END. F*** THOSE KOON A** N***** AND THEIR ENTIRE FAMILIES,” West wrote in all caps.

West later admitted that he deleted the post not because he regretted his words, but because he feared his X account would be suspended.

“IF TWITTER TAKE MY S*** DOWN THEM SO BE IT BUT I NEED Y’ALL TO KNOW JAY-Z OR NOBODY HAVE NO POWER OVER ME,” he wrote before removing the post.

Despite Elon Musk previously stating on February 9 that West would not be allowed back on X, his account was reinstated less than a week later.

The reinstatement included a “sensitive content” warning on his posts.
