Kanye West stirs controversy as rapper shows up in KKK-style hood at 'Vultures' album party
MIAMI, FLORIDA: Kanye West aka Ye, known for his contentious fashion statements, recently stirred controversy with his appearance at the 'Vultures' album party in Miami, Florida.
His decision to wear a black hood bearing a striking resemblance to that of the Ku Klux Klan aka KKK, an American white supremacist group, has ignited a flurry of criticism and intense debates online.

The Grammy-winning rapper, West, reportedly gave a preview of his forthcoming collaborative album with Ty Dollar Sign at Miami's Art Basel event, dubbed 'Vultures Rave'. He performed 'Everybody', which incorporates a sample from the Backstreet Boys, and 'New Body', featuring Nicki Minaj.

Later, his daughter, North, took to the stage to perform a verse from an album track in front of an audience filled with numerous collaborators, such as Offset, Kodak Black, Chris Brown, Playboi Carti, Lil Durk, and Freddie Gibbs, as per New York Post.
He made multiple appearances on stage, each time wearing an all-black outfit topped with a pointed black hood, eerily similar to the attire associated with the white supremacist group KKK.
This isn't the first instance of the 'Flashing Lights' rapper drawing inspiration from such controversial imagery.
The music video for his 2013 track 'Black Skinhead', stylized as 'BLKK SKKKN HEAD' on YouTube, opened with a trio of striking black hoods.
As the video, directed by Nick Knight, progresses, the trio of hoods are amplified and serve as the backdrop for an AI version of the rapper performing the song.
Internet slams Kanye West over his KKK-style hood
Soon after West's controversial getup from the 'Vultures Rave' made it online, netizens slammed the rapper and called out his insensitivity.
One said, "NOT A F****** COMMON HOOD BRO WTF," while another wrote, "BOY IF YOU DONT TAKE THAT OFF."
"stages of being a Kanye West fan," noted a person posting a meme.
Someone else expressed, "This may seem odd coming from me of all people . I feel sorry for him . Dude is clearly suffering from a severe chemical imbalance of some sort."
One more disgruntled person asserted, "Kanye wearing a KKK hood and Black people are sitting idly by. F**k him and his music bro."
"This isn't the first time of kanye doing a reference about the kkk, why are y'all shocked," pointed out an individual.
"He’s disgusting," said another person.
