Kardashians reportedly 'blindsided' by Caitlyn Jenner and Lamar Odom's podcast announcement

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Kardashians have reportedly felt “blindsided” after the announcement of Caitlyn Jenner and Lamar Odom’s collaborative project, a sports podcast titled ‘Keeping Up with Sports.'

Jenner and Odom were formerly connected to the Kardashian family through their marriages. Jenner was married to the family matriarch Kris Jenner until 2015, while Odom was married to Khloe Kardashian from 2009 to 2016.

During their respective marriages, the gold-medal-winning Olympian and the former NBA star even appeared together on a few episodes of ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians.’

The two former athletes recently shocked the fans when they announced that they are reuniting for a podcast titled ‘Keeping Up with Sports’ - an obvious reference to the immensely popular reality series.

However, it seems, the fans are not the only ones who were shocked by the announcement as the Kardashians were also left off-guard at the sudden announcement.

The Kardashians felt ‘blindsided’

The podcast announcement not only left the Kardashians flabbergasted but also led them to believe that they will be the subject matter of the series, as a source close to the stars recently shared with Daily Mail, "The family was blindsided by this, and they feel that they are absolutely going to be discussed on the podcast."

Commenting on the duo’s status as former members of the Kardashian family, the source added, “The only things they could possibly have in common is that they are both Kardashian family outcasts.”

The insider also slammed Caitlyn who was formerly known as Bruce Jenner, and noted, “Caitlyn will do anything to try and upstage Kris or get under her skin, but this is the most bizarre one ever.”

Prior to her transition, Caitlyn was married to Kris Jenner and father two daughters - Kendall and Kylie. 

The informant also remarked on Caitlyn's strained estrangement from her children, stating, "Caitlyn is devastated by the fractured relationship with the kids she helped raise, but she acknowledges that it is partly her own fault."

“Lamar, too, knows that it is his fault for losing Khloe yet still, to this day, talks about her,” added the tipster.

Recently, the former Los Angeles Lakers star even made a comment on his ex-spouse Khloe's birthday post for her brother Rob Kardashian.

The 44-year-old NBA star wrote in the comment section of the birthday post featuring pictures of the Good American founder and her children along with the reclusive Rob Kardashian. He commented underneath the post, “My Family.”

The insider commented that Lamar’s attempts to rebuild his relationships with the Kardashian-Jenner family may get hampered because of his association with Caitlyn.

The tipster added, “Lamar just commented 'my family' on a birthday post that Khloe did for her brother Rob, which goes to show where his head is.”

“He has it in his mind that he actually may one day get back together with her and will spend his life trying to,” continued the source before adding, “But doing a podcast with Caitlyn is not the way. Everyone knows it will get ratings for like a second then tank.”

The source concluded ominously by hinting at the grim fate of the podcast, saying, “If not by their own doing, Kris will have it shut down behind the scenes.”

Caitlyn Jenner and Lamar Odom announced their podcast

Earlier in March, the two former athletes announced their podcast which will be jointly conducted by them along with the third host Zach Hirsch.

Dubbed ‘The Ultimate Sports Show,' the website for the podcast reveals the “award-winning hosts take on all sports, each with a unique personality and opinion.”

Per TMZ, the first episode will be soon dropping and will feature boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard.
