Kate Cassidy reveals 'special' link with late BF Liam Payne in touching Valentine's Day tribute

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy shared a touching tribute for the late singer on her Instagram Stories for Valentine's Day, as per Independent.

The former One Direction member died on October 16, 2024, at the age of 31 after falling from the third-floor balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Payne and Cassidy reportedly started dating in 2022. After his untimely death, the 25-year-old model revealed that they were planning to get married in 2025.

Kate Cassidy took to her Instagram Stories to share a picture of the gift she had received from her best friend on the occasion of Valentine's Day. The gift turned out to be a black and white framed photo collage of her and Liam Payne.

At the center of the collage was the "angel number" 444 symbolizing divine support, guidance, and love, as well as the initials of the couple around a red heart.

She held the photo frame in front of a vase of roses, and added a text that read, "Couldn't ask for a better best friend... this valentines gift is so special." This was Cassidy's first Valentine's Day without Payne since they got together.

Kate Cassidy has previously opened up about the significance of 444 in her relationship with Liam Payne, claiming that they had "manifested" getting married by writing down the goal beside the number.

She apparently received notifications through an app on her phone on Valentine's Day, which showed the number 444 on her screen. The app in question tracked the geomagnetic activity of the northern lights.

Sharing a screenshot on her Instagram Stories, Cassidy wrote, "Came across this when I first woke up whole checking my notifications... liam and I were seeing the northern lights exactly a year ago today for valentines. I never deleted this app. signs are real 444 happy valentine's liam."

Since Payne's death, Cassidy has apparently come across the "angel number" more frequently and considers them to be signs from her late boyfriend.

"Liam, I know we’ll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned. You’ll always be with me. I’ve gained a guardian angel. I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me everywhere I go. Forever yours, Katelyn 444," she shared in a post in October 2024.
