Kate Hudson recreates iconic scene from ‘How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ at World Series
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kate Hudson hilariously recreated her iconic ‘How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days’ moment during Game 5 of the World Series.
The 45-year-old actress, who had a starring role in the 2003 romcom along with Matthew McConaughey, recently attended the high-voltage match between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees on October 30.
However, as the actress attended the game to witness the Dodgers clinch their 2024 World Series Champions at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday night, she could not help but recreate an iconic moment from her 2003 film.

In the clip, Hudson can be seen asking her friend, who was devotedly dressed in a full Dodgers outfit, “Can you get a soda?”
Her friend naturally replied, “No.” Hudson, however, reiterated, “No, can you go get me a soda?”
When her pal asked, “Right now?” the actress playfully replied, “Yeah like right now,” and tried to gently guide her towards the stand.
Her friend, however, stayed firm in her reply, and said, “No.”
The exchange between the two friends was reminiscent of the iconic scene from the 2003 romcom where Hudson’s character Andie went to watch a Knicks game where she asked McConaughey’s character Benjamin for a soda during the most inopportune moment.
In the film, as the game is inching towards the climax, Andie asks Benjamin to get her a soda. Though McConaughey’s character rushes out to get her the desired soda, she remains unimpressed as it wasn’t the “diet” version.
Thus, she sends him again, which subsequently makes Benjamin miss the ending where the Knicks win the game at Madison Square Garden.
The rom-com is based on the story of Hudson’s character - a dating columnist - who is tasked with dating and “losing” a guy after ten days of romancing and McConaughey’s character, who similarly takes up the challenge of making a woman fall for him in 10 days.

Looking back at their chemistry, the two stars commented on the film while talking to Variety during the 20th-anniversary event.
“What tickles me doesn’t bruise you. What tickles you doesn’t bruise me,” McConaughey said, per People, before adding, “We were never afraid to push it to what might be considered too far.”
Hudson added, “When you went one direction, I went with you,” before noting, “But then I would be like, ‘I’m gonna throw him off a little bit. Let’s see what happens if I do a sharp right'.”
