Kate Middleton and Prince William exude class as they arrive at Royal Variety Performance amid racism row
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Attending the Royal Variety Performance yesterday evening, the Princess of Wales looked stunning in a gown that stole the show, brushing off the fallout from a race row.
Kate, 41, looked ravishing as she went out in Kensington, matching her £1,288 ($1,630) Talina gown from Safiyaa with an equally lovely grin. She showed no signs of distress following a tumultuous week for the royal family due to the publication of a bombshell book.

The book by Omid Scobie names two senior royals who allegedly raised "concerns" about the color of Prince Archie's skin. Senior royals in the UK are reportedly dismayed at the issue, as reported by Daily Mail.
Considering it seemed to identify the two royals, the Dutch edition of 'Endgame' was taken off bookstore shelves in the Netherlands. Scobie attributes this to a translation error.
The Princess of Wales went to the yearly event with Prince William and their guests Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden—who was wearing a black Toteme dress—and Prince Daniel, all while maintaining a "business as usual" demeanor despite the scandal.
A number of international media outlets, such as the Guardian and the Times, identified the couple featured in the book as King Charles and Kate last night.
The Princess dismissed the remarks, though, as she showed up for the Royal Variety Performance 2023 wearing the stunning dress with its statement shoulders, flaring sleeves, and high-neck adorned with gems.
She wore her thick brunette locks in bouncy curls, carried a sparkling clutch bag, and sported a massive gem bracelet with matching earrings.
Prince William stunned in black tuxedo
As they walked the red carpet, Prince William, dressed beautifully in a black tuxedo, behaved like the epitome of a gentleman by holding out his hand for his spouse.
After meeting ITV officials upon arrival, they were presented to 95-year-old supermodel Daphne Selfe.
Outside the hall, excited spectators gathered to see the royals. "You're modeling at 95, that is incredible," Prince William remarked to Selfe before continuing, "They don't make you travel about too much do they?"
Selfe responded that Kate was extremely tall when the Princess of Wales said she "loved" her clothing with the red feather tassel sleeves.
The Princess then joked, "I’m quite tall and I have high heels on, so I’m cheating."
Prince William interjected, "I don’t have high heels on." Then, bouquets fashioned of the national flowers of Sweden and England were sent to the Princesses of Wales and Sweden.
Event was held to raise money for the Royal Variety Charity
The purpose of the event was to raise money for the Royal Variety Charity, which offers a nationwide grants program to assist people who have worked in the entertainment business professionally during this extremely challenging economic time.
The show's host, Bradley Walsh, quipped he would be happy to receive a CBE while calling it "an honor" to serve the monarchy and present the Royal Variety Performance.
Following the event, the royals had the opportunity to meet artists such as Cher, who had just released her new Christmas single, 'DJ Play a Christmas Song'.
