Kathy Hochul labeled 'arrogant' after referring to Donald Trump supporters as 'clowns'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Kathy Hochul faced criticism online after she referred to Donald Trump's supporters as "clowns."
During an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, the New York Governor said, “Well, I’ll tell you what won’t make a difference at all, Jake, and that’s for Donald Trump to be a ringleader and invite all his clowns to a place like the Bronx,” while commenting on his May 23 Bronx rally.

Kathy Hochul claims New York will only back Joe Biden
She further stated, as reported by Fox News, “New York will never, ever support Donald Trump for president. We know him better than anyone and that means we understand what he’s all about."
“He’s just for himself. So, this state will go solidly behind Joe Biden for president as it has in the past.”
“So, if he wants to spend his time doing these made-up, fake rallies and pretending there’s support here, be my guest, because while you’re doing that, Donald Trump, Joe Biden’s out there on the other side making sure he’s delivering for all Americans,” Hochul added.
Trump's campaign and NY GOP criticize Hochul's remarks
However, the Trump campaign responded to the 65-year-old politician, stating, “Kathy Hocul is just upset that President Trump is pulling crowds in her state that she could only dream of; and Democrats are in disarray because Americans, including Hispanics and Blacks, are waking up to the fact that Joe Biden and the Democrat Party have been using them for votes and ripping them off for decades.”
David Laska, Director of Communications for the New York GOP, also slammed Hochul.
He told the publication, “Kathy Hochul has once again revealed her true colors, disparaging millions of New Yorkers and demonstrating a shocking level of intolerance and disdain for a significant portion of our state's population.”
Demanding an apology from her, Laska added, “The people of New York deserve a leader who respects their diversity of thought and beliefs and who is committed to working for everyone, not just those who align with her political views.”
People call Kathy Hochul a ‘joke’
Many on the internet seemed to be against Hochul as a reader below the Fox Digital article wrote, “She was nearly beaten in deep-blue NY by a Republican for the governorship. She now sees Trump garnering large rallies of the most diverse New Yorkers and is no doubt in panic at the prospect of the state turning.”
Another reader commented, “Hochul says of Republicans in her district: ‘You don't represent our values.’ Ms. Hochul clearly doesn't realize it's her policies that don't represent her constituents.”
“How disrespectful and arrogant she is. She seems awfully confident that Biden will win New York. Apparently, she has her cheat in place,” an X user tweeted.

“She just called her own people clowns. What a joke,” another user remarked.
“Notice that you never hear Trump condemn democrat voters, yet democrat politicians will openly demonize republican voters with no hesitation. They have total contempt for 1/2 of American citizens,” a user wrote.
