Leavitt called her pregnancy 'greatest Christmas gift'
Leavitt had announced in late 2025 that she’s expecting her second child with husband Nicholas Riccio. The pair are already parents to a son named Nicholas "Niko" Robert Riccio, who was born in 2024.
The White House press secretary tied the knot with Riccio in January 2025, nearly six months after they welcomed their son. Leavitt's relationship with Riccio has long been under scrutiny due to their significant age-gap.
Riccio, 60, is 32 years senior to Leavitt, 28. However, the couple has never let the public attention affect their relationship and is now set to welcome their second child together.
In an Instagram post, the 28-year-old wrote, “The greatest Christmas gift we could ever ask for - a baby girl coming in May 2026.”
“My husband and I are thrilled to grow our family and can’t wait to watch our son become a big brother. My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth,” she added at the time.
At the time, Leavitt had also expressed her gratitude towards President Donald Trump and his administration “for fostering a pro-family environment in the White House,” as she noted, “2026 is going to be a great year and I am so excited to be a girl mom!”
