WASHINGTON, DC: Keith Olbermann has called out CNN as well as Scott Jennings after he got involved in a verbal spat with political commentator Adam Mockler on live TV.

Olbermann also demanded the firing of the political strategist, 48.

Taking to X, the 67-year-old political commentator wrote, “It's the morning after and @cnn has still not fired @ScottJenningsKY for threatening, in another burst of paranoid rage, @adammocklerr.”

“This event needs to be reported to the New York DA - and if CNN has not fired Jennings by Monday it must be just boycotted. Do not watch CNN,” he added.

Adam Mockler claims Iran war's 'failing'

Olbermann’s remark followed the Thursday, April 30 episode of NewsNight with Abby Phillip, where Jennings was confronted by Mockler over the Iran war.

“We all know that Scott Jennings is more than happy to defend a war with a country that starts with the letters ‘I-R-A,’ that we are currently failing that is going to put us trillions and trillions of dollars more in debt,” the young man said, before noting: “I was only a few years old while you were in the administration defending prior endless wars. Now this war is failing.”

But he was angrily interrupted by Jennings, who hit back, “Eight weeks is endless to you? Do you have the attention span of a gnat?”

But that did not deter Mockler, who then stated, “I debated you on TV four to six weeks ago, and you said we were weeks away from it. Now you’re making condescending remarks because you can’t defend the fact that this war is not going your way.”

At that point, Jennings seemingly lost it as he argued, “Get your f**king hand out of my face,” which prompted ‘Newsnight’ host Abby Phillip to intervene.

He told Jennings, “Everybody hang tight, OK? Everybody calm down, OK? We’re having a debate. You can respond to the points that he’s making.”

Mockler, however, did not stop. He further asked, “Can you name a political concession that we’ve got here?”

To which, the special assistant to the former president George W Bush replied, “We have a very simple goal: To keep te**orists and a te**orist regime from having a nuclear weapon that can threaten the United States, our interests in the region, our allies in Europe, anybody else in the world.”

“So you can’t answer the question. I would get mad, too,” Mockler added.

Later in a social media post, Mockler shared, “Scott Jennings claimed I got in his face; Watch what actually happened in the full CNN segment. He throws a personal jab... then folds the second he gets pressed. Scott loves to dish it but can’t take it.”
