Keke Palmer speaks out after split from BF Darius Jackson as she shares candid update about 'trauma'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Keke Palmer recently opened up about her split with ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson as she posted a video of herself on Instagram, donning a maroon robe and carrying her nine-month-old son Leodis in her kitchen.

Palmer sways to the music, pulling various dramatic faces while 'Seeing Green' by Nicki Minaj plays in the background. "Alexa, Play Mary J: MY LIFE," she captioned the Instagram post.

The recent post comes amid the ongoing controversy involving her ex-boyfriend and the father of her baby, Darius Jackson, 29.

Palmer allegedly gave Jackson, her ex-boyfriend, "a lot of chances" before filing for and winning a restraining order against him in November 2023.

Earlier this year, Keke and Jackson's turmoil came to light after he publicly criticized her on social media for her attire at an Usher concert in Las Vegas.

Following that act of disdain, reports surfaced from their camp alleging that Jackson had assaulted the 'Akeelah and the Bee' actress both physically and mentally.

However, Jackson has refuted the accusations, per Daily Mail.

Palmer recently received sole custody of their son and a restraining order against Jackson.

She also requested a private hearing for her restraining order so that she and her ex-partner Jackson could settle their custody disputes.

The former couple had a court hearing over the domestic violence restraining order set for December 5, but they now want the hearing to be postponed until they "resolve their issues in mediation," per Page Six.

A new court date is not yet known, but according to court filings, the parties "agree that all orders contained in the Temporary Restraining Order issued on November 9, 2023, shall remain in full force and effect until the hearing."

A source exclusively revealed to Page Six that Palmer is still seeking a restraining order against Jackson and that it is "not going anywhere," even if she wants to address their issues in private.

The source concluded, saying, "Keke is concerned about her privacy, Leo’s privacy, and the privacy of her family so her preference is to resolve the situation privately rather than in open court if possible."

"But if not possible the hearing remains on the calendar and Keke will stop at nothing to ensure a safe and healthy outcome for herself and Leo."
