'Saving myself was first step': Keke Palmer's ex Darius Jackson claims he 'repented' and got baptized after being accused of abuse

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After shocking abuse allegations against him, KeKe Palmer's ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson said that he is turning to faith as the former couple is engaged in a legal battle over custody of their young son.

On Thursday, he limited the number of comments on his post by starting the caption of a new training video, "There's A LOT I can say but not allowed to say. And at this point, don't even want to say. I will say, however, that God is and will always be your greatest ally," as reported by RadarOnline.

Keke Palmer claimed she was abused by Darius Jackson

In civil court documents, Keke Palmer said she was abused physically and psychologically during their relationship, something Jackson disputed, and as a result, she was granted a restraining order against him as well as sole custody of their nine-month-old son, Leodis.

Darius Jackson says 'Lord Jesus has been with me'

In the caption of the workout video, Jackson wrote, "I have put my trust, patience, timing and entire life onto him so that I can continue to get through the days."

"Lord Jesus has been with me throughout and has [strengthened] me to the point where I am continuing to push forward and not looking back," he added.

Jackson stated that he is currently surrounded by supportive friends and family, adding, "Extremely blessed to have repent and be baptized in the name of our Lord Jesus. But the work doesn't stop, there's so much I have to do in order to be fulfilled."

The 'Akeelah and the Bee' actress recently requested that her restraining order hearing be rescheduled for December 5 so that she and Jackson may attempt to settle their custody disputes in private.

The court documents stated that the spouses "agree that all orders contained in the Temporary Restraining Order issued on November 9 shall remain in full force and effect until the hearing."

Keke Palmer ended her relationship with Darius Jackson

In October 2023, Keke Palmer disclosed that she ended her relationship with Darius Jackson after their public altercation about the attire she donned to an Usher performance earlier in the year.

The celebrity included home security camera footage of an alleged altercation with Jackson on November 5, 2022, along with details of another incident between them in her restraining order application.

Palmer alleged, "I tried to remain calm, but as I was again asking him to leave, he stood up from the chair, walked towards me, and made sure there was no furniture between us. He was yelling, leaning into me, getting into my face".

Palmer added, "At that point, he lunged at me, grabbing at my neck and face, knocked me backward over the couch, stole my phone out of my hands, and then ran out of the house."

Jackson is not the only member of his family involved in court drama. In another court case, his brother was reportedly charged with strangling his child's mother.
