Kelly Osbourne pays tribute to dad Ozzy after his death at 76: ‘I lost the best friend I ever had’

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kelly Osbourne is mourning the loss of her father, legendary rock icon Ozzy Osbourne, who died at the age of 76 on Tuesday, July 22.
The singer and TV personality remembered her father with a heartfelt message just days after his death, highlighting their deep father-daughter bond.
Kelly Osbourne honored dad Ozzy with 'Changes' lyrics
Kelly Osbourne took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday, July 24, to share lyrics from the song 'Changes,' a 2003 re-recording she made with Ozzy Osbourne.
Originally released by Black Sabbath in 1972, the track was updated by the duo with revised lyrics reflecting their relationship.
“I feel unhappy I am so sad,” she wrote in her tribute, adding, “I lost the best friend I ever had 💔.”
Their duet, released more than two decades ago, reached No 1 on the UK charts, making them the second father-daughter duo to top the list after Frank and Nancy Sinatra’s 'Somethin’ Stupid' in 1967.
Ozzy Osbourne died ‘surrounded by love’
Ozzy Osbourne’s family confirmed his death through an official statement signed by his wife, Sharon Osbourne, and their children Kelly Osbourne, Jack Osbourne, Aimee Osbourne, and Louis Osbourne.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the statement said.

Fans first got to know Kelly Osbourne and her siblings through 'The Osbournes', the hit MTV reality show that aired from 2002 to 2005.
The show documented their everyday family life with Ozzy Osbourne, who rose to fame with Black Sabbath before launching a successful solo career.
Ozzy had six children. He shared Jessica and Louis Osbourne with his first wife Thelma Riley and her adopted son Elliot. Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy had three children—Kelly, Jack, and Aimee Osbourne.

That night also turned out to be a milestone moment in Kelly Osbourne’s life.
Her longtime partner, Slipknot’s Sid Wilson, proposed to her during the show.
Kelly later posted a video of the moment on Instagram, where Wilson can be seen getting down on one knee and saying, “Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world.”
