Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos give fans a rare look into their spacious, NYC 'forever' home
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have given fans a glimpse of their exquisite New York City townhouse - a stylish and personal space they've called home for 12 years.
In a video tour with Architectural Digest on December 10, the 'Live with Kelly and Mark' hosts shared the story behind their chic sanctuary, a place Ripa describes as her “favorite place on earth," People reported.
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelo's bedroom is inspired by European luxury
“We’ve moved several times in our lives, but no matter where we go, for me, this is my forever home,” Ripa, 54, said while revealing their sprawling primary bedroom.
“When I walked in here I was like, ‘this is the final place where I will live.’ I love this house so much.”
The couple's bedroom, which Ripa calls “peaceful and quiet,” was inspired by their travels to Europe.
“It’s sexy, it’s peaceful, it’s quiet. That was the feeling we were going for,” shared Consuelos, 53.
True to their love for curated treasures, “just about every light fixture” in the home was sourced from flea markets in Paris, ensuring that each piece is one-of-a-kind.
The bedroom also features a surprising hidden element: a TV concealed behind a mirror placed opposite their bed.
Addressing any potential misconceptions, Consuelos joked, “And don’t think we’re crazy about putting a mirror in front of our bed. It hides a TV.”
Ripa added with her signature wit, “Yeah, we don’t stare at ourselves. We watch Judge Judy in here.”
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ unique tribute to their kids
A particularly heartfelt feature of the townhouse is the series of oversized paintings of their children’s eyes, displayed in the hallway.
The couple’s three children — Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 21 — no longer live at home, but the artwork serves as a unique reminder of their presence.
“They don’t live here anymore, so when we leave our bedroom it feels like they’re still with us,” Consuelos shared.
Ripa, ever the doting mother, added, “And I could stare at my kids’ eyes forever. I just think they’re great.”
The 'ultimate' cigar lounge and a kitchen full of 'heart and soul'
Another standout space is Consuelos’ cigar lounge, described as “the ultimate guys' room.”
Outfitted with a special ventilation system to remove any lingering smoke, the lounge is both functional and indulgent. Consuelos even revealed a hidden humidor tucked into a side table.
“Okay, just so you know, I’ve lived here as long as he has and I did not know that was there,” Ripa said with a smile, showcasing how even long-term partners can still surprise each other.
For Ripa, the heart of the home is the kitchen, which features a dining area, a central island, and a cozy coffee corner.
“The kitchen really is the heart and soul of our home,” she said, highlighting the space’s access to their lush garden.
As self-proclaimed “fussy coffee drinkers,” the couple also ensured the kitchen catered to their love of a perfect brew.
