Kelsea Ballerini reveals reason for abruptly ending concert: 'I am sicker than I'm trying to be'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kelsea Ballerini has been forced to reschedule three concerts after falling ill during a performance in Buffalo, New York.
On Thursday, February 6, the 31-year-old singer took the stage at KeyBank Center but was unable to complete the show due to health issues.

Ballerini addressed her fans shortly after, issuing an emotional apology through her Instagram Stories.
"Buffalo, I am so so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight,” she wrote.
“I am sicker than I am trying to be, and I did not want to let anyone down tonight,” she continued.
The singer explained that while she made an effort to push through, she could only perform a few songs before realizing she could not continue.
“I just got through the first few songs and I couldn't do it. I’m so sorry, but I never want to give you a half-a-show,” she added.
Kelsea Ballerini reschedules tour dates due to health concerns
In light of her health struggles, Ballerini announced that three upcoming concerts, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Toronto would be rescheduled to later dates in April.
The new concert dates are now set for April 11, 12, and 13, according to People.
“I will make them the best shows I’ve ever played in my whole life,” Ballerini promised her fans.
“I will pull out every stop for you, and I will make it so worth it. I’m gonna’ go rest now and get better so I can really show up for the rest of this tour," she shared.
She expressed her gratitude to fans for their understanding and patience, adding, “I hope you understand. Thank you for the grace to be human, and I love you.”
Fans rally to support Kelsea Ballerini during illness
Despite the setback, Kelsea Ballerini has received an outpouring of support from her fans.
She shared a heartfelt moment on Instagram, posting a photo of herself in bed cuddling a pillow that a fan had made for her.
“To the sweet fan who made this pillow tonight, I can't even tell you how much I needed this and what it means. Thank you. I love and appreciate y'all. See you in a few days,” she wrote.
Ballerini’s illness had already affected a previous concert in Detroit on February 4.
During that show, she struggled to perform and had to rely on her audience to help her sing her song 'Penthouse.'
A video of the moment, shared on TikTok, showed fans passionately singing the lyrics when she was unable to.
She later thanked them in an Instagram Story, writing, “Thank you for helping me through our show last night and being so loud and kind.”
Kelsea Ballerini’s optimism before the Buffalo concert
Before the Buffalo concert, Kelsea Ballerini had expressed optimism about her health, believing she was on the mend.
In an earlier Instagram Story, she reassured fans, “For those sweet angel humans asking, I'm feeling better. Got some good rest (WOW I FORGOT HOW MUCH I LOVE SLEEP), and the meds are doing their job. I can’t wait to perform for you tonight.”
She acknowledged that her voice was still raspy but remained determined to put on a great show.
“We're gonna lean in and I will see you on that stage. No way I'm letting you down,” she added.
Following the rescheduling of the Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Toronto concerts, Ballerini’s next performance is set to take place on February 10 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
