Kentucky woman claims Kanye West 'telegraphically' told her to steal car with child on board

EVANSVILLE, INDIANA: Kanye West is being accused of using his "telegraphic" power by a Kentucky woman.

As per Evansville, Indiana police, Ricki Smith, a suspect who allegedly stole a car that had a child inside claimed the rapper made her do so.

Where did the crime occur?

The affidavit revealed that the police were dispatched on Friday morning, August 30, to North Main Street after it was reported that a woman attempted to get into random vehicles.

The victim noticed the 28-year-old suspect trying to get into her car while she was in a store.

The owner of the car quickly got hold of Smith and pulled her out of the vehicle by hair, per police.

Smith told officers her car broke down on Interstate 64, and she’d been hitchhiking to get to Evansville from Louisville, as per Fox 19.

During the questioning, the suspect revealed that Kanye West told her “telegraphically” to steal it. Ricki Smith was arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail. 

It was found that Smith had actually smashed her vehicle into the trees off I-64, and abandoned her vehicle. 

She is facing kidnapping and auto theft charges, according to her jail records.

Netizens poked fun at the Kentucky woman's alleging the 'Monster' rapper was behind her car stealing. Many social media users made sarcastic comments but a few felt she must be some drugs.

One person joked on X, "The scary part is that this is exactly how kanye would test his telepathic powers upon receiving them."

A user chimed, "This gotta be the dumbest excuse for robbery I’ve ever heard 😭."
