Kerry Kennedy slams Trump for 'lying, selfishness, and rage' after brother RFK Jr's endorsement

WASHINGTON, DC: Kerry Kennedy ripped into Donald Trump after her brother Robert F Kennedy Jr suspended his independent presidential campaign and endorsed the former president.

Kerry called out the GOP presidential nominee for being a liar, selfish, and cynical just hours after her brother departed from the Kennedy family's long-standing Democratic legacy.

Appearing on CNN's 'The Source' with Kaitlan Collins on Friday, August 23, she said her father, Robert F Kennedy, would "detest almost everything" that Trump stands for.

"His lying, his selfishness, his rage, his cynicism, his hatred and racism, his fascist sympathies, his deliberate misinformation about vaccines, his criminal felony convictions, his contempt for the poor, and suffering for ethics, for democracy, and for healing," Kerry said of Trump, according to Raw Story.

She further said that her late father would have despised the real estate mogul's "cruel sneering at human rights for suffering people in America and around the world, which was the cause that moved and motivated my father."

Kerry also voiced her opposition to her brother Kennedy Jr's endorsement of Trump, saying it made her "outraged and disgusted."

Kerry's other siblings also condemned their brother, Kennedy Jr, for aligning with Trump in a personal statement. They described his decision as a "betrayal" of their father's and family's values, labeling it a "sad ending to a tragic story."

Though Kennedy Jr backed Trump, he did not end his campaign; he only suspended it in key battleground states. He urged his supporters to vote for the Republican presidential nominee in ten swing states that would be decisive in the final outcome of the November 5 election.

His name would remain on the ballot in other states. Trump also thanked him for his support, calling it a "very nice endorsement."

The environmental lawyer also appeared alongside Trump at a rally in Glendale, Arizona, hours after his announcement.

As a tribute, the MAGA spearhead promised to set up a commission on assassination attempts that would be tasked with releasing the remaining documents of President John F Kennedy's assassination.
